He's an idiot like the rest of them. You don't express your political protest by disrespecting your country. Kap and the boys should try that in Cuba or China or one of the other countries they admire so much.

TIL kneeling during the national anthem means you're a communist sympathizer.

That was a lot of info, yet I'm still not sure what they are protesting.

I saw a mention of the police shootings. If thats the case, then they are idiots.
How are civilized black people oppressed today, if that's what they are fighting for?

What gets me is that most of these "protest" are based on very vague reasoning, no specifics.

And in the case of Kapernick, not only did he not vote, he also is in no way active in his community to try to right whatever injustices he thinks are there.

If you are going to protest, you need to know specifically why and you need to be working to make things better.

Most are strictly about symbolism and are doing nothing to actually change anything.

If they want to know about real oppression, they need to talk to the pro baseball players from central america.

I'm proud we have president that loves his country unlike the one before him who tried his best to destroy it.

What did those Traitors end up doing? they left England and formed their own country, after fighting a literal war where thousands of people died.

Did you fail American History? WatF are you talking about?
They didn't protest in fricking Europe dumbass. They were here and disagreed with the lack of representation in Parliment for their own rights. THUS, they protested.
They were the first protesters. THEN they decided to remove themselves from that authority. Not before.

As far as kneeling, this isn't a disgrace to the USA. It is a protest to the way a group of citizens are being treated.
You have no idea..

Whether positive or negative, the obsession with former LSU athletes on this board is outlandish and a bit creepy. They're no longer part of this university. They're now professional football players. Get over it.

Biggest heap of sht answer non-blacks give. Until you've lived in my world, you wouldn't understand. I expect that answer from most people like you who have know clue. I can go on for days about the sht that I've experienced and witnessed done to other people.

Move this sht to the poli board where the people butthurt over an issue they are out of touch with can go hug one another.

I didn't give an answer. I asked a question, b/c I don't know, b/c I'm not black. And I stand by if it's about the shootings, then it's stupid.
I honestly don't give a shite, but wanted to see what the answer was, which hasn't been answered. I am assuming the answer is black people are oppressed, but I don't know what that actually means, are what they want to be done about it.

If this was Germany back in the day, it would be easy to find the people who supported the nazi's... you know the ones who get crazy angry whenever someone disagrees with their beliefs?

Do any of you guys know what the kneeling is about? And if you do, is the kneeling a bigger issue to you than why they are kneeling?

You are aware that there have been whites against every effort blacks have made to a gain equality in America, right? So you guys follow a long line of those who were against freedom from slavery, voting, integration, affirmative action, etc. Generally they wore white sheets and terrorized blacks who had the audacity to complain about their treatment in America. They were on the wrong side of history, as are you. Most of those type, like you, prefer blacks being seen and not heard. Yiu could care less about how they are treated.

If either of you had suffered the treatment of blacks in America, you couldn't handle it and would ball up in the fetal position or commit suicide. Empathy is a trait none of you have. And that is sad to be lacking in humans.

I agree. Yeah, these black athletes sre really oppressed. Making millions of dollars a yer to play a sport while the vast majority of the country is busting thier asses for 10 to 20 years to make what they make in one year. Not to mention that none of them have ever been assaulted by an officer, which is why this all started. Anyway, almost all of the facts regarding ratios of race/ethnicity and police shootings/deaths blow their arguments out of the water and they simply don't care, are ignorant, or have other underlying agendas that are a mixture of the two. In addition, damn near all of the police shootings that these black men have found themselves victim to were justified and held up and proven in court. It's ridiculous. If I was in any of those black fellas shoes and treated cops under the same circumstances with the total disrespect of authority while being white man, I would have gotten my arse shot too. I thought it was common sense that you don't frick with cops, especially not be violent and in some cases have a weapon, and not comply with their orders. Their lives matter too and there re plenty of cops that die every year in the line of duty, which is why they're trained to react like they do. Get real terrance Magee and the rest of these jokers disrespecting the national anthem of the country that gave them the opportunity to be extremely successful in life, which they wouldnt hAve elsewhere. Also, in Charlottesville, while that criminal act was totally dispicable and disgusting, who were the first peopLe asking for the cops? The same group of people that scream frick the police and kill them in Dallas and baton rouge. It's all a frickin joke.

This. His website even lists the organizations he helps donate to, with info and links for each one.

Much of the reasoning behind this kneeling stuff seems misguided, but that doesn't mean those who do kneel are all bad guys.

Yeah, while he's on national tv, when millions of people are watching, and his true colors come out. frick kaepernick, HE's the reason why HE isn't gonna play football in the nfl anymore. Nobody wants to pay that cancer with his dumbass shenanigans and have him associated with their organization, because they know how outlandish it is. Call a spade a spade. His beliefs are totally stupid and unsubstantiated.

How is he disgracing LSU? By taking a stand on something you can't comprehend? I wouldn't do it. But he has the right to do as he pleases.
