When they show a dual screen with one large rectangle showing the commentators and a smaller screen actually showing you what's happening on the field, you know, the reason why you're watching the fricking game!

Missing live action to show a replay

Women calling games of any sport

When the commentators start talking about their day instead of the game. The other one that is annoying is some old player/coach who never really was anything that questions every call or strategy by a team.

Since Chris Berman, announcers try to be part of the game.

When they shoe live basketball action from some stupid arse angle. Those angles are for replays, not live action.

Ump Cam
Cleatus
When they show those random fake scoreboard graphics that you know aren't really in the stadium but they try to make it look like they are on tv

Also long-arse sideline reporter stories that nobody cares about and that always, always, always get interrupted because live action...
And so they cut away from her to call the game...
And then like 4 plays and 10 minutes later, after a TV timeout...
"Lets go back to Michelle on our sidelines."
"Well, just to finish that story Al, JJ said...and that's the reason he always wanted to play football. Back to you."
"Great story, Michelle."

which is usually made even worse due to all the pointless dead space around the squares.

Has anyone found Eduardo Pérez's belt?

This. So pointless and dumb.

Play by play announcers are pretty pointless. "Here's the 1-0 pitch and it's outside. 2-0." Yeah, I know. I'm watching.

Don't know if agree with this one. Sure, an avid sports consumer usually knows what they are seeing in an ideal environment but that's not always the case.
Sometimes you have people like my mother who watches a lot of football but has never watched baseball watching the World Series.
Other times, if you're at a. At, it can be hard to follow the intricate details. Having the play by play on the screen can be helpful
