I know, another SxS thread. Just looking to see if anyone here has experience or recommendations with one of these. Why did you buy a FS over the MS or vice versa?
Looking to buy a SxS and this seems to be what I'm looking for. 90% of the time, it will be just me probably. Just need it to do some general work on a some land. May take for a big ride once or twice a year, but mostly going to be used for work.

If it's just you then a 2 seater is probably fine. The main things I considered were space, seating and bed size. Is it enough to haul what I want. Second was bed weight capacity. Can I put a sprayer back there and it handle the weight. Lastly towing capacity. Most are either 1k lbs, 1500 or 2k. I chose to go 2k bc sometimes I pull a trailer loaded down. That's my 2 cents. If the 570 meets your needs I think it's a great sxs. I got a can am but that's partly bc of the dealer.

The specs on the midsize are just 4in shorter in overall length, 2in more narrow overall. Bed holds 1000lbs and towing up to 1500lbs.
I have looked at a defender also. Seem to be very nice bikes

I have a 550 mid-size. For me, it has done everything that I've needed. It will carry plenty of stuff in the bed and I've pulled a trailer with 2000lbs of sand with it. It really didn't like pulling that much and it set it down a pretty good bit but the power was there to pull it.
Two weekends ago I used it and the wench to yank down to arborvitae trees that were at the front of my house. They were around 15-20ft tall so they had a pretty good root system. I cut the top out of it and hook the wench up. It pulled them down without too much trouble.

Those are exactly the kind of things I'll be using it for. Everyday working.

I will also add that I bought the mid-size for driving through the woods. It gets through the woods much better than the regular size.
If you aren't worried about driving through the woods I'd likely get the regular

Thanks, I've been looking at and building SxS I don't need or can afford for the last hour.

I don't necessarily NEED a SxS. I could probably get away with another 4wheeler.
Truth is, let's say 3-5yrs down the road I decide to get rid of it, the SxS is going to hold its value longer than a 4wheeler.

Wouldnt buy anything less than a 900 in a side by side.

What is your reasons for that?

UPDATE: Well, drove the bike in the topic. It lived up to the ranger name. It seemed to be an excellent bike. Worked up the numbers, came home to sleep on it. FF 2 days later, I went with my cousin to the local Honda dealership to get his pioneer serviced. The new owner walked in and we speak. I tell him about our '89 250 was the still kicking like new when we sold it with our house last year. End up going back over that the same afternoon and picking up a new Rancher. He worked me up a hell of a deal also. Took it out today put it through its paces and I love it. Honda makes a hard bike to beat.

Not sure how good the deal was but this coming weekend is tax free on this stuff as well. I know you have it already so I am sure the deal was worth it.

Yep. He had 2 of these in red left from 2016. It has the DCT, ESP and the independent rear suspensions. He cut me a little more than $2K off of MSRP
In a two years my boys will be 13 and 10. I figured this bike will be a great bike for them to own and ride. Plus, barring they don't frick shite up majorly, it'll last them a lifetime.
