As most of the ones that know me well, know that I'm not the biggest fan of surprises. I just like to be in the "know" of what's going on, so I can mentally and physically prepare for things. It's just how I do! But my wonderful, loving husband was full of them yesterday, and yes...he knows my feelings toward surprises ?? All he told me Friday afternoon was be ready the next day with the best dress I own and an overnight bag. The wheels started turning, of course! My first question was about the boys and he said Mark was gonna watch Jay all night. I thought, "oh my ??"...it won't ever work. They will fight all night and we will be lucky to have a house when we get back home. I'm also a little bit of a "homebody" too, so logically I'm thinking where are we going that we just can't come back home afterwards. Bill kept saying it was all planned and I was gonna like it. Remember the last time he got a hotel on his own, we went to Panama City Beach and the hotel we stayed at had a SNAIL ?? in the bed! (Yes...we moved hotels quickly ??) After that...I had forbidden him to ever get a hotel or anything without me overseeing...lol. So getting back to yesterday...we left home and headed towards Nashville. We get to Loew's Vanderbilt Hotel and check-in. When we got on the elevator for the room, he had to scan our key bc we were on the Club Level and only the ones that had rooms on that floor could get there. My thoughts were...OMG this is just like the movies...what in the world has he done. This was so unlike his character. We got to the room...there's a card made out to us congratulating us on our 20th Anniversary, champagne ?? and chocolate covered strawberries ??. He told me to get ready...we had reservations at 5:15pm at the top steakhouse in Tennessee. Wow...was just all I could think. We got ready, left the hotel, and went to our dinner reservations...at the Kayne Prime. Definitely something we have never done, but the Wagyu steak was fabulous and cooked to perfection. After dinner, we went back to the hotel and as we opened the door to our hotel, he had the concierge place rose petals all over the floor and our bed ??. At this point, I wanted to know where my husband was ?? Then he said he had one more surprise...a horse carriage ride downtown ??. It was a wonderful night even though it was out of my comfort zone and it was definitely out of Bill's comfort zone too. His words to me were...we only celebrate our 20th one time and he wanted to do something special. Well...he did, and it was memories that will last a lifetime. We finished off this morning, with a delicious breakfast that was complimentary to the club level rooms. With a wonderful night and day, we are home now and the boys are still alive, they didn't fight, and our home is still standing...so that made our quick trip even more special. I ?? you Bill with ALL MY HEART, and so glad that you became mine 20 years ago ??

Yeah, well, I'm not reading that and I'm surprised a status allows that many characters. Facebook needs to show some modesty.
