Camping Stove won't light

Just got it yesterday. Hooked the propane cylinder up to the stove with the regulator. When I turn the burners on I hear the gas but when I press the ignitor nothing happens on either the grill side or burner side. Tried to hold a match to the burner and still nothing.
Any ideas?

Do you smell gas or just hear a hissing?

pour a little gas on it, try again

You have to get your face real close to it

try it on the lowest setting. Your regulator might be bad

Turn off knobs, wait 30 seconds and light grill. If flames are still too low, reset the excessive flow safety device by turning off knobs and LP gas tank valve. Disconnect regulator. Turn burner control knobs to high. Wait one minute. Turn burner control knobs off. Reconnect regulator and check connections for leaks. Turn LP gas tank valve on slowly. Wait 30 seconds and then light grill

Don't know if this helps, but I have a propane heater in my camper that it takes probably 5 minutes or more to push the air out the lines before the propane comes thru and lights.
See if you can actually smell the propane.

What brand/model is it

Maybe it is the igniter.
Does it turn on with a flame held next to the burner?
