Why? This shouldn't be a surprise. There is absolutely no scenario where the FBI doesn't go through the records of an individual being investigated
But we haven't heard about Flynn's home being raided yet, unless I've missed it

unless you are the DNC, of course. Then they just politely ask for your server, without making you actually hand it over.
Who controls the FBI and DOJ now?

New York Times now reporting the same with the following bit not found in the Post story:
NYT, 8.9.17
They're following the money.

for tax documents and foreign banking records...
The F.B.I. typically seeks such records when investigating violations of the federal Bank Secrecy Act, which requires Americans to report their foreign banking accounts.

Because they're the FBI. We're members of the public and don't need to have details disclosed to us at this time. We'll find out when the investigation concludes. The public simply isn't important enough to warrant giving away key details at this time.
You're not a very smart person.
As any investigator will tell you, a warrant being served doesn't mean a crime has been committed. It doesn't mean a judge has looked at the evidence and said "yep this person committed a crime" it simply means a judge has been convinced that a search is warranted and some judges are very easy to convince. There is no appeal to a search warrant, it's based solely on a judge's discretion, and some judges are quite friendly to law enforcement and yes LEOs know exactly which judges those are.

"Who controls the FBI and DOJ now?"
The establishment.
The establishment.

Yeah, if anything damning would have been found, it would have been leaked already.

are they going to snag Manafort for something unrelated to Russian interference?

Sounds to me like they had a good reason to search his home.

It has leaked already. Just needs verification.

But they couldn't figure out a way to investigate that political whore who was using the IRS to persecute political opponents

The acting director of the FBI is Andrew McCabe. You know, the hardened democrat whose wife's senate campaign was financed by the Clintons?
All trolling aside, why is the FBI still looking at this? I thought they ceded this all to the SC once he was assigned by the DOJ?

The standard is "reasonable and probable grounds" which again is pretty easy to meet, and while I guess you could call that "good reason" based on my experiences with obtaining search warrants I can tell you that isn't always true.
And further proving that the decision to either ask for or grant search warrants is pretty subjective both on the parts of law enforcement and judges , one need look no further than say Hillary Clinton. Were these self righteous assholes who are now screaming about Trump and his associates anywhere to be found when for example the FBI didn't bother to get a warrant to search the homes of Hillary and her associates when it was beyond known that classified material was being sent via unsecure computers? Hell man, it was months later when during an unconnected investigation another device was found that contained classified emails. When any reasonable person would have found it probable to search Huma's abode for more devices in the original investigation.
I simply dislike the outright hypocrisy we have seen here in the last 6 months in all things Trump.

Trump is fricking President and you guys are still playing the victim card. Trump could fire the DAG (Rosenstein) right now or he could repeal the special counsel related regulations. He has chosen to do neither.
But muh establishment.
Sad!

Trump can't repeal a law. You guys are just used to Obama ignoring laws he didn't like.

Manafort met with staff for the Senate Intelligence Committee day before raid which indicates investigators may have argued to a Federal Judge they had reason to believe Manafort could not be trusted to turn over all records in response to a grand jury subpoena.

Manafort has a lot of shady dealings, he is probably the lowest hanging fruit for them to go after.

They want to rough him up and force him into talking to save his own arse.
