Hi team - I visited two years ago for my first ever LSU game and had such an awesome time - so I am coming back :)

I have convinced a good mate who is based up around Washington DC on a navy exchange to support LSU so the two of us are heading to Baton Rouge for the game v Chattanooga.

Hoping to check out the tailgate scene prior to the game so let me know what the etiquette is. Tailgating is unknown in Australian sports so we aren't really sure how it works!

Really, really excited to be heading back to BTR :)

Just show up with this attitude and wander into the first tail gate you see that interest you.

Let them know how far you came to cheer on the Tigers and you've made friends for life.

Enjoy the game.

Back in 2010 I traveled to Baton Rouge for the Tennessee game with 4-5 people. Through a series of mishaps, we forgot our tickets.

We decided to check out the tail gate scene anyway and wound up running into a little old lady who couldn't find a ticket to the game and the rest of her club had tickets and left her to go to the game.

My friends, this little old lady, the bus driver for their club and their caterer all got a TV set up and watched the game over by Alex Box. They feed us, opened up the bar and we had a great time.

The ending to the game was incredible too.

Probably had more fun than if we had remembered the tickets.

Wish you could come to an SEC game like the Auburn game this year. Get a true feel for what the atmosphere is like for a big game. But hope you have a great time again!

For that trip, you may want to consider a bigger game. Auburn or Texas A&M...otherwise you're basically showing up for a beat down and a lackluster crowd after halftime.

If you're worried about getting tickets for the big games, scalp. With your accent and story of the trip from Aussieland, you'll secure yourself cheap tix and likely a sheila for your evening

Were you with another Aussie? We had a couple of your kind stumble upon our tailgate a couple years back and had a great time. Lots of beer was drank that day.

Yep this was the only game I could get to fit! I guess the advantage is I should see a LSU win. Would love to get to one of these massive games - next time :)

Park where you can and head towards Coates hall. Find the bathroom and you'll enjoy your weekend.

He's going to be able to tell his grandchildren he was there the night Justin McMillan handed off to Lanard Fournette with 8 min to go in the 3rd quarter in front of 24,000 people.
