AT&T’s DirecTV Now has struck a deal with CBS, filling out its initial streaming TV package with more CBS offerings. Channels like Showtime, the CW, and CBS Sports Network will be available in the coming weeks on the service that launched late last year. Local CBS stations will also be available — but as usual, that's only true in some cities.
Showtime will be available for an additional $8 per month, while the CW and regular CBS content will be completely available for no additional cost. Live programming from local CBS channels will be provided in major cities like New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, Detroit, Baltimore, and Pittsburgh. In the coming weeks, DirecTV Now also plans to launch more content from ABC, Fox, and NBC affiliates.

I just need to be able to watch the cbs 230 college football game every week

Thankfully we're edging closer to these (streaming providers) being a realistic cable replacement.
Looking forward to getting to that point, hopefully within the next year or so. YouTube TV looks particularly viable.

You don't want to use the CBS Streaming Feed for that, my man. It's terrible.

Now if only the New Orleans market would get off their collective arse and start supporting this stuff.

How's it running on FireTV lately? Has there been any app updates?
It ran like shite for a few months when it came out. Went back to Vue.

There have been lots of updates for the FireTV and the AppleTV. It runs much better on both. There was an update yesterday and the guide seemed particularly snappy.
They are currently beta testing, and will be releasing in the fall, a completely new platform, DVR and UI included.
Stability wise, it has gotten much better than launch as well. The Season premier of GoT was a little shaky but episodes since haven't been bad. And honestly that is kind of to be expected.

It's ran flawlessly for me the last few months. Yes, when it first came out it was rocky. January-April was rough. But since June it's been solid for me.

It already is for me and many others. I cut out cable back in March and couldn't be happier.

Are the updates behind the scene or is it an app update? I have had DTVNow since December and don't recall any updates that I had to install. With that being said the app tends to crash when changing channels fairly frequently.

On both the FireTV and ATV the apps have been updated numerous times, but it tends to download and install automatically.

I can now catch the local Fox station in Lafayette, hopefully CBS isn't far behind.

I'm still waiting until I can get all the CFB games I need + EPL games without an HD antenna, and on a provider that plays nice with streaming devices (and has DVR).
Don't think that solution is out there yet, but not far off.
