Jimbo was the answer
Jimbo was NEVER going to leave FSU for LSU. He would be leaving the talent powerhouse he built there. 1 year removed, he is one of the betting favorites to win it all this year.
He(his agent) craftily played the situation to leverage FSU into a better deal. He knew that he could squeeze the FSU orange for a little more juice and he was right.

I have little expectation regarding the offense as things are now. If Canada changes that, then big props to him.

I didn't say O is or isn't the answer.
Time will tell. I'll bet you if miles had continued to be at the helm, the the whole program would've continued to suffer. In results, ticket sales, donations, revenue, perception and recruiting.

With no time to change the offense and with just a few tweaks, Ensminger's offense set records against teams that Cam's offense would have had to sloppily "out talent" at the end of the game. Les and Cam put a terrible offensive product on the field the last couple of years.
Considering Canada had a full off season to implement his scheme, I have modest enthusiasm to see a capable offense that is the norm instead of the exception.

Let me see if I have this right:
A 9-3 predicted record means that I am a sunshine pumper.
And a Negatiger.
And an O-lover who is trying to lower expectations.
And an O-hater who has no confidence in the new staff.
I don't like the O hire, but some of this argument is ridiculous. Let 'em play and give 'em a chance to show what they can do.

LSU under Cameron (42 games): 31 ppg
LSU under Ensminger (8 games): 32 ppg
When you factor in how much of a bigger sample size it is under Cameron, it would be stupid to say that the offense under Ensminger was "much" better.

Now you skew the numbers by including the record setting year with Mett/Landry/OBJ as well as having a mediocre defense forcing us to run up more points than we usually need to win. You must spend a lot of time trying to figure out ways to quote stats to support whatever you decide to throw out there.
Damn right. How dare he include Cam's numbers when he had a good offense? Completely destroys the point you're trying to make. It's not fair.
Indeed, if you disregard when Cam's offense was good, it was bad.

The fact that you think the offense Les and cam put on the field the last few years, was actually good...is priceless, and a true testament to the O haters.

2011 no one I knew was pumped. Dickhead was in trouble with the law right before Oregon game. I had free tickets to the game free trip no one thought it worth it to go see LSU get destroyed

It's just funny to me that he countered my post about Ensminger's ppg stats against Florida & Bama with "stop cherrypicking numbers!" and then he countered that Cameron / Ensminger comparison with "how dare you include all the numbers!"
He must've read Hilary Clinton's book on campaigning.

At times it was good. At others it wasn't.

Kedwards,
This concept may be hard for you to grasp, but one can like Les Miles and not be an "O-hater".
One can think Les Miles body of work was a great success and still think he needed to be fired.
An done can think Dacoacho is not qualitified to be the LSU head coach and not be an "O-hater".
I gather from your posts that you are not a nuanced thinker.

All of those things are true. I think miles had a hell of a career. Time to go. I think obviously O underachieved at OM. Will he at LSU? Time will tell.
However, yes, the O haters are like whining Dems still crying 8 months later or more. Btw, I couldn't stand Obama, but I accepted it instead of daily crying.

Yet here you are, on a daily basis, crying about people questioning O.
