He's a weak and ineffectual president and has glaring personal failings that make him manifestly unfit for office.

I'll try...

At the very beginning, Trump was declared a genius because he stole the limelight and media time. All we heard was "all press is good press", no matter how bad it was. Trump got literally billions of dollars worth of free press for using this tactic. Be crazy, boisterous, scandalous, but have a message. It worked.

Build a wall, but call them murderers. Preach repeal and replace, but call what we have a complete disaster. Call out your opponents. Call them pedophiles, call them losers for getting caught in Vietnam, call them crooked and call for locking them up, tell them to their face they are liars. Call the media fake news. Wage social media battles with news stations, politicians, judges, citizens, other countries. That is what creates drama, ratings, and media coverage. Billions of dollars of free publicity. Good or bad, Trump was "playing them like a fiddle" everyone said.

All of the above worked. It really worked. He is now President.

Now here is where the problem starts. Now that he is President, the free media coverage will not stop - they aren't changing, especially when he just keeps feeding them. If anything, it's now on overdrive, because he is the POTUS. The whole "stealing the limelight, all coverage is good coverage" thing won't go away, and is now turning against him, because when you start wearing big boy pants, shite matters. You can't just continue to burn bridges and then not expect to need those bridges when you need to go back.

The media was here before him, and will be here after him. This whole ordeal was on him for making it a spectacle. And, well, that's exactly what we have.

Obama passed that shitty HC bill then sat in the OO for six straight years and did nothing.

We haven't had a president that passed legislation in a while, champ.

TARP, dodd-frank, huge stimulus package, Paris Accord, Iran nuclear deal, just off the top of my head, are all pretty big.

a lot of stuff conservatives rail against, so i'm surprised you've forgotten them.

To answer your own question, all you have to do is look back at what they did Romney.

If a decent guy like Romney could be portrayed as literally Hitler back in 2012 then it should be easy to imagine what they were going to do to Trump.

The establishment has to keep up the charade that Trump is anti-establishment and that the establishment media is against him.

The show didn't end with the "election." That was only the beginning.

If that's the standard, FDR, JFK, LBJ and Bill Clinton should have never been President.

All of that is legislation coming from Congress?

Let's be honest here. Do you actually know wtf you are talking about?

Because there are some EOs and executive decisions that Trump has made that are serving well as of now.

Nah. That can't be it. It has to be some grand conspiracy.

absolutely agree. President is really not that important.

With that said, teh right complained about jobs and economy when obama saw the same level numbers. Only the stock market is unqeustionably good.

The media does what it's told to do, says what it told to say, and they detest Trump. Anything he's for they are against. Anything positive is never spoken of. The goal is to get rid of him, and when they do they will start in on Pence. They wanted Trump to be the nominee because they thought he would be easier for Hillary to beat, and they did all they could do to make it happen, when he became the nominee they turned against him with a vengeance. But Trump won, people like you and me voted him in. Now it's all out war to take him down. Sad, it's their party, their agenda over country. Stay strong MAGA

You mean MUH RUSSIA? Thats the only so called "controversy", unless you are counting staff turnover, which is palace intrigue and nothing more. The majority of Americans give zero fricks about either.

health care overhaul attempts have failed
Congress and Senate are to blame, not Trump

he doesn't have any major legislative victories
Once again, not his fault. The establishment does not want his agenda to succeed, yet he is crushing it on the economic front and you refuse to acknowledge it or give credit to him
