LINK Guess the Super Bowl ring isn't the only jewelry he's lost. Lol.

Divers search lake for Julio Jones' lost $100,000 diamond
Julio Jones may want to remove all valuables the next time he decides to try jet skiing.
According to a report by Atlanta Alive, the Atlanta Falcons’ All-Pro wide receiver lost a $100,000 diamond earring after hitting a wake and falling into the water of a Georgia lake.
“Yeah, it was worth a little bit,” Jones said.
Bobby Griffin, the self-described “Scubaman” of Lake Lanier in Gainesville, Georgia, was hoping he and local salvage diver Richard Pickering would be able to successfully recover Jones’ earring. Unfortunately, Pickering now believes it’s a lost cause, considering the piece of jewelry is likely down about 65 feet in the man-made lake.
“It’s down in crevasses and nooks and crannies,” Pickering said. “It’s impossible – absolutely impossible.”
Jones, for his part, seems to be in good spirits.
“As long as I’m good, it’s materialistic stuff,” he said, according to Atlanta Alive. “You can always get that kind of stuff back.”
As the Falcons kick off training camp today in Flowery Branch – primed and ready for another Super Bowl run – perhaps their 28-year-old receiver will earn a new piece of jewelry he can add to his finger.

I'm sure he can afford a new one anyway, but if he is going to be that stupid and careless about wearing a piece of jewelry while jetskiing on a lake that costs over twice the yearly salary of the average person, then screw him, he had it coming.

It reminds me of the time he lost the Super Bowl

The concept of wearing $100,000 earrings is so fricking foreign to me that I just can't bring myself to care. I just can't fathom how anyone values a fricking earring enough to spend that kind of money on it.

Welp, looks like I'm going scuba diving

If you view it in perspective his 100k earring is the equivalent of someone making 50k/yr losing a $335 item. It would upset you but hardly be reason to lose your cool. I don't get the obsession with gaudy jewelry, but I don't pocket 15 mil/yr either.

People always do this but thats not how money works. Money isnt devalued because its part of more money. 100k is 100k.
Bill Gates wouldnt just "hey, dont do that" if some one stole 10mm from him. But thats the same as like 10 bucks to you and you would get over it.

1. The people he hangs around probably couldn't tell a $100K ear ring from some shite off of QVC
2. Why is a grown man wearing an ear ring?
3. Why is a grown man wearing a $100k piece of jewelery while on the water much less a jet ski?
4. It's sad that people actually spend money on such frivolous shite. It's his money and he's free to do whatever, but that automatically says "moron" to me.

If he's going to be that stupid. He could have given that diamond to a charity of his wish BEFORE he went skiing.
I don't give a shite how much he has 100k pissed away is such a waste

It kind of is. Law of decreasing marginal returns and all. Let's say you make $50k. An extra $1k to you might help partially fund your annual vacation. To a person living in squalor in the DRC an extra $1k is life changing and maybe the difference in survival. Money is worth more to those who don't have as much.
That said $100k for jewelry still seems pretty wasteful to me.
Eta: also losing $10m means a hell of a lot less to Bill Gates than it does you or me. He has lost more than that with day to day stock market fluctuations and was still the richest man in the world. If an average person loses that then it's more than the value of everything he owns.

So the diver found it and and said he didn't.
Posted on 7/26/17 at 4:46 pm to TheBeezer
He's exaggerating the value of that piece.

Oh i'm sure he is. But the more he says its worth, the dumber it makes him look.
