How about Trump, with his anti-dreamer, anti-immigrant rhetoric. He once called Mexican immigrants "rapists" in a campaign stop. He's intentionally making it hard for folks to come to America; that's why horrific tragedies such as this are sure to happen

That said, shouldn't we have some better estimate to better judge the value of the wall? What percentage would be worth the expense? Will people still be dying in an effort to make it across?
Is there any way to look at the proposal rationally?

Why is everybody so quick to conclude this smuggler was transporting willing illegal immigrants? It could just as plausibly be a sex slave trader moving human merchandise.
