any experience dealing with the 3 local Honda dealerships in the Baton Rouge area

I'm starting very soon to look for a Honda Accord. I'll look for a new car or consider a certified low mileage car. Of the 3 dealerships in the area, Richards Honda, Team Honda, or Tiger Honda in Gonzales, can someone offer opinions or ideas about your experiences with these dealerships. Also, can you recommend a particular salesman that you've dealt with that has treated you fairly and feel like you got a good deal. Thanks in advance for responses.

Offlease.com. I wouldnt waste my time at a dealership in Louisiana.

I believe that there is a member of TD that works at a Honda dealership in your area. His useram is Coach something iirc.

We bought an Accord from Richard's last November. Looked up what a decent price was, filled out a check and told them what I would pay. Deal was done. Of course they try to sell you extended warranties and garbage, but I just said No thanks. Was there less than 2 hours total.

I would avoid Tiger Honda. I know someone who has a parent that struggles with mental issues and a salesman convinced her she needed a brand new car instead of fixing the 2 year old car she already had.

I purchased from Richards last year, good price with easy negotiation

Richards is the way to go.
No nonsense and no pressure. Sent a colleague there and he was done in about an hour. Couldn't believe how easy and comfortable the process was with their group.

Go thru the internet sales for each one.
Tell them exactly what you want and ask for a price (you're getting a new car so this shouldn't be hard).
Let them know you are asking other dealers as well.
Get car loan stuff done in advance (Don't use Honda Financing).
Don't give them ur phone number (if the site forces u to then make one up).
Research online the price the going price.
Select best offer and confirm final price.
Pick up car (if they BS and add more cost than walk out).

Bought a car from team and it was a decent experience. Of course that was about 7 years ago.

Between me and my parents, we purchased 4 cars from team honda.
No problem what so ever.

Richards gets my vote. Mom came to town to downsize from a Tahoe to a CRV. There was no hassle or games. She got a great price with me doing the price homework and making the deal.

Never dealt with the Baton Rouge Honda dealers, but purchased one from Royal in Metairie. They very were easy deal with.

I just purchased a new Accord for my wife and visited all 3 of the local Baton Rouge Honda dealerships. I ended making my purchase at Richards Honda because they gave me a great deal and their customer service was 100 times better the other two dealerships. Richards was the only dealership that me and my wife visited where we didn't feel like we were getting jacked around. If you ask me, I'd say don't even waste your time with Team Honda and Tiger Honda.

The Team dealerships have always been the most crooked places In my experience. Got a good deal at Richards once. No experience with the other.

Negotiated online and made a deal with Team Honda
Walk in to take delivery of my new vehicle with my own third party financing.
It took me 90 minutes to get away from the "Finance Manager"...This guy's job title should be changed to something more representative of his actual role
How many GD times do I have to tell someone I do not want to purchase any of their shitty additional services?
Despite getting a great deal at Team, I wrote the sales guy an email explaining my anger with the "Finance Guy" to which he responded, "Yeah, we get that a lot"![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/Iconconfused.gif)

+1 Barker Honda, they are renovating their whole showroom and working out of a little trailer. I negotiated with this guy by text who beat all other dealerships. I imagine they're motivated to keep sales up any way they can while their dealership looks like crap.

Bought a new Honda years ago from Team, the after the sale service was the worst experience of my life. Shane Berthasay, the sales manager, actually told me selling me a car was a mistake lol.

I had a positive experience when buying my Odyssey from Richards.
