I dont think its going to resemble thr book much, but if if looks as great as this trailer, has a bunch of rush songs, and has a good story behind it. I think it's going to be freaking awesome.

No idea what the race, the scorpion battle, or the robot killing Freddy thing was. Race looked like the old racing Daytona arcade/Saturn game. But that wasn't the 80's

Yes! Was worried as they are changing some things and I just knew Speilberg would cut out my favorite band part. My fears have hopefully been put to rest. This looks great. Speilberg may finally have another classic.

in the comic con panel, they specifically mentioned the game joust and it being in the movie..Hopefully he has to make it through the dungeon to get there.
It is a day one idgaf about reviews for this movie for me. I am incapable of being objective..There are few movies like this for me...BUt its fun when it is.
Seeing the Delorean was awesome and I can confirm for those asking that the race is def not in the book.

I haven't read the book, and that's sort of the impression I got from the trailer. I doubt I would go to see it if I hadn't read this thread and had more idea what it really was.

Not sure about the Ogre but im pretty sure they showed the other girl. She was standing on a rock with swords on her back. Also the part where they are spinning in the air is in the book. Disco party or something like that that the other creator is the DJ for.

Yep.
The "army" of other players is the Sixers. They seem a little more militarized in the show than the book, but it makes sense.

Yeah I liked his narration mostly. But he butchered some of the slang and insults.
