Helios Air (Payne Stewart type issue)
quote:
At 11:49, flight attendant Andreas Prodromou entered the cockpit and sat down in the captain's seat, having remained conscious by using a portable oxygen supply. Prodromou held a UK Commercial Pilot License, but was not qualified to fly the Boeing 737. Prodromou waved at the F16s very briefly, but almost as soon as he entered the cockpit, the left engine flamed out due to fuel exhaustion and the plane left the holding pattern and started to descend.

These are simulations of plane crashes or near crashes. I saw the New Orleans one and watched a bunch more. They are very interesting including air traffic and pilot communication.

I watched a bunch of those over the last few days. I've read most of the NTSB reports too.

The one where I fly kamikaze style into the weapon port of an alien space craft destroying it and thus saving the human race.

There's that plane that turned into a seething inferno after a liquid O2 container in the cargo area caught fire and the pilot aimed the plane directly down and opened it full throttle and crashed in the Everglades.
I'm guessing it was a mercy for the passengers at that point.

This isn't what I want to think about before flying out in the morning.

I have bad luck flying. In the 80's, I had ten flights where three had incidents - engine failure in flight, aborted takeoff, and ran off end of the runway (minor injuries, nose gear shears off, down the slides everyone goes).

Why I opened this thread on my phone while 25,000 ft in the air is beyond me... but give me the one that give others a chance to survive. My wife might be one of them.

Scenario Two: Some major mechanical malfunction occurs (for example, cargo door blows out or major hydraulic system damage). You'll be in the plane for 20 minutes before it attempts to land. You have hope. You have fear. It lands, some make it but you don't.
Happened with a Japanese airliner several years ago except there was no chance of reaching an airport. They found notes people had written to their loved ones while waiting for the inevitable crash.

The Payne Stewart version where you're already dead before it crashes.

Hi. As a former American born male who now identifies as a vegan transgender atheist who vapes and shaves their monkey 4 times a week and im also a pastafarian apache helicopter dog who died in a previous life from an airplane crash (I died by option B, FWIW), this thread offends me.. I can't even right now

The "there is hope scenario"
Even though I die, at least others on the flight live.
Also...maybe would give me some time to quickly call my husband and parents one last time to say I love them(assuming they are not on the flight with me).

It's 2017. If you want to have gay sex, you don't have to wait until certain death.
