An exhibition match is not a "high profile event".

I've lived in San Antonio, Austin, Dallas, and Houston for extended periods of time. Houston ain't the greatest big city in Texas, but it's far from the worst. That will always belong to Dallas.

Reading the subject line, I thought you were talking about Detroit hosting the Roma vs. PSG match.

Have you spent any significant time in New Orleans? There's no other city like it.

Don't lump the great city of Fort Worth in with that trash to the east.

First off hate to break it to people, the super dome is an eye sore. If your team is competing for a title you don't want to travel cross country to see a cement dump. I get it, the people of New Orleans love it but you are hosting a major event. Dallas, Arizona and yes Atlanta get it. You need to get a state of the art facility. In all fairness I feel this way about all old dome's glad the Kingdome is gone, Glad the Astrodome is no longer played in same with metro dome. New Orleans get with the times and get a facility major sporting events are more likely to come play at.

Houston isn't great by any stretch of the imagination, but it's far from "worst". I would picture some midwestern rust-belt city in abject decline like Cleveland, Cincinatti, Gary, or Detroit long before I'd think of Houston. Besides, Dallas sucks far worse than Houston.

Houston is middle of the pack.

Even if they wanted to I dont think it would work. The thing that makes the dome work so well is it's location and I don't know if there's really enough room there for anything else. And if there were you'd have the saints dislocated for a couple years while they're building it.

Detroit in the North takes the prize.

Birmingham, AL in the South takes the prize.
