The Island starring Michael Caine. He and his son go to the Caribbean, they encounter an isolated group of pirates. They kidnap Caine's son and brainwash him. Caine goes to rescue him. OT Pirates of the Caribbean just insanity the whole movie?
For years it was only available on vhs, but now it's on blu ray and currently playing on one of the premium channels, I forget which.
PCU- early Jeremy Piven movie. Basically, the entire university is divided into different PC groups. A very proptethic film of today's culture.

Oh I know, but it falls into the "it's so bad it's good" category for me.
Also helped that I watched it at 4 in the morning after a long night drinking.
Two more I'll add- Uptown Saturday Night and Let's Do It Again. Sidney Poitier and Bill Cosby. Cosby likes to rape him some women, but frick it, those movies are hilarious. Especially LDIA, with Jimmie Walker as a fricking boxer.

While we're on Michael Caine, Get Carter is fantastic.

Which is funny cause one of the hip college kids in PCU was writing his senior thesis about there always being either a Michael Caine or Gene Hackman movie playing on tv 24 hours a day, every day.
A Bridge Too Far staring both became his closing argument. Speaking of which also a fantastic movie.

Not sure how popular it was back then, but one of my childhood favorites. Probably time for a rewatch. "Mischa?! What kind of name is that?"
