This is an interesting tidbit from Littleton's account of the Ellender murders:

Chris Prudhomme was a member of a Satanic cult called the SKATERS, an acronym for “Satan’s Kids Against The Establishment.”

This was in the 90's, but not too long after the 80's satanic cult scare that fascinates you. The generic term for the emo/misfit crowd was "skaters", as in riding skateboards--nothing satanic about it. Littleton claims that McElveen was present at the Ellender murders, from what info I can gather online.

For close to twenty years, then Sheriff Wayne McElveen and his son, Richard, along with numerous other law enforcement officials, operated a cocaine distribution network which, in part, consisted of corrupt deputies confiscating drugs off of Interstate 10 and then stealing them out of the evidence and then using pawns to sale them back to locals.

That's A LOT of people involved in this operation if it lasted over 20 years

quote:

Stacie Reeves' very close friend, Kevin Able, failed to pay Richard McElveen drug money he owed so Richard and a few guys kicked in his door a few weeks before the murders at KKs and murdered him.

Multiple people again

quote:

Stacie Reeves knew that Richard McElveen murdered her friend because Richard was over heard by several witnesses at a night club a week earlier telling Kevin that he was going to kill him if he didn't pay

So not only multiple people involved but a public threat in front of other people.

quote:

After Kevin was murdered, Stacie contact the Louisiana State Police to tell them that Richard murdered him. Sheriff McElveen found out and told Richard. They began planning her murder.

So state police was notified and did nothing when their witness was found murdered?

quote:

Banking that the firewoks would mask the gun shots, Richard enlisted the store manager, Sherwood Carpenter, who instructed other accomplises on how to disable the alarm

Adding even more people

quote:

After closing, they entered the store and murdered them, execution style. A witness who feared for his life reported to police that he tried to enter the store during the murders but was told by Richard who was guarding the door that he didn't want "any of this".

Another person added

quote:

So, everyone within law enforcement at that time knew that Richard orchestrated the assination of Stacie to silence her

That's too many people involved for this to remain a "secret"

I see what Speedy is saying but Jennings has had a small drug mafia for years that has always been rumored to be police driven.

You and I are almost too young to remember the extent of McElveen's power and what was going on at that time but drugs run rampant on I10 and I can remember rumors of Sulphur PD seizing and reselling drugs years ago as well.

While the post in the OP is too far fetched, I don't think it's unreasonable to consider that something was going on, Richard and other deputies were involved, and active cover ups took place.

i've heard stories, but i think it's more rogue actors who kind of had a "wall of blue" protecting them, more than a large, coordinated effort

i mean shite Jennings had an evidence locker raided and drugs sold by LEO like 5 years ago

Possibly but my answer to that is why would they risk their lives just to protect a few rogue cops?

The part where the OP REALLY loses me is where he starts accusing Mancuso. By all accounts Mancuso is as straight and good as they come. Always has been too.

No, he didn't. Grew up in the same neighborhood as him. Never really hung out with him, just acquainted. He was a nice guy.

Me too. Grew up 3 houses down. What's up Z!

I remember all this vividly and all the speculation it was mcelven's son. He was a known TPOS around town. I witnessed him get in a fight at OB's then as he was driving off he was waving a gun outside the car window.

I also remember the sketch looked EXACTLY like him at that press conference.

OP did not write any of it. I heard about it on Facebook and posted it here for discussion sake. I have serious doubts about many of the accusations but some of it is very plausible from my knowledge of some involved and being around at that time. It is incredibly interesting and crazy story which is why I posted the Facebook feed.
