Moving to the Northshore on July 31st

Just bought a house off of 22 and with football season right around the corner, I'm wondering where are some good spots to catch both CFB and NFL around Madisonville/Mandeville/Covington?
I'm moving from South Market area of NOLA where I've lived for long enough to know a lot of the good spots on the Southshore... but now I'm flying blind.
TIA

Chimes is always a good spot for CFB. Food is shite, but beer is always cold. Get there early for a spot at the bar, though. Fills up quick.

I believe they're building a new Walk Ons off the interstate by Sam's/Target, but I'm not sure when it will be finished. There's a Buffalo Wild Wings on the other side of the interstate if you're into that. I usually go to La Carreta off west causeway, they have a ton of tv's, or just go sit at the bar at Chilli's. Barley Oak on the lakefront is another option. Can't really think of anything else, I usually just watch at my house.

Congrats, Oahu is beautiful, north shore is a whole nother level though.
Are you close enough to the beach to see the massive waves coming in? I always loved it, during the winter sometimes they get to 20-30 feet, and it's one of the coolest things to see.

Man if you don't like those pork chops with red beans then something is wrong with you!

Might be the first time I've seen anyone say the food is shite. It certainly isn't fine dining, but I've never had anything bad there.

Did you move into a neighborhood?
Might have some cool neighbors

There is a local attorney there, about 40-41 years old that has a 37-38 year old wife who is a real cheating whore.
Avoid or enjoy as you see fit.

This is what I do or just invite some friends over to watch at the comfort of my house. I'm currently working to finish up my outdoor kitchen area by the start of football season so the party can be taken outside and keep my house clean inside. I'm almost 70% complete and can finally see the light!

Welcome to the hood baw. Like a couple folks have said: Walkons is coming right down the road, chimes in Covington. I'm sure Mandeville probably has a few places too.

Barley Oaks is cool, but I've never watched an LSU game there. Welcome to the area. I'm desperately trying to sell a house in Madisonville if any of you baws know someone looking.

The theme of South La towns along I12.

To be fair, the burger was alright. My gripe was that the poor waitress was having a hell of a time getting orders out. My burger was cold while everyone else on the other side was done eating. (They forgot?) Anyways, the manager discounted it, but that wasn't the first time I had trouble with the entrees. I'm a very easy going, non confrontational guy, so you won't see me berating a waitress for slowness or orders wrong. I now just go to the bar and get the bomb arse spinach and artichoke dip with the fried bow tie pasta and drink beer.
