Trailers are fine to discuss. If i cared that much i wouldn't be in here.
I always went overboard with spoilers from reddit in the past and they were always right, so im trying to avoid everything this season.

This is my thought, nothing to do with any spoilers or the trailer itself, but I think Tyrion would find great satisfaction in taking Casterly Rock. It should have been his anyway. It'd be his final f you to Tywin.
While obviously this won't happen in the show after fricking up Jaime releasing Tyrion and Tywin's death, in the books I hope the ultimate "frick you" to Tywin is that Tyrion's heir is Lanna who eventually becomes the Lord of Casterly Rock. That would be the best ever.

Well he does have Yara's fabled longships that got her from the iron islands to the dreadfort and back in a flash, so i guess gettin to Casterly rock wont be too tough for Tyrion even though its so far away

I've never thought of trailers as spoilers myself. But I can understand if some haven't watched them and don't want to hear about them.
The Reddit stuff is a whole other matter. I've avoided indulging in them but have picked up some passing general ideas about some of them from conversations on some boards. I kinda wish I didn't even know that general stuff.

I don't either but I've had that feeling when you've read/heard more than you wanted to know so I'd rather be safe than sorry.
When LOST was on the air I couldn't find enough spoilers to satisfy me but I'm the total opposite now. I did read some of the GOT Reddit posts and I wish I hadn't. I'm happy with trailers/breakdowns/speculation but I really don't want any outright spoilers.

LOST I was mostly out for the centric story and that was really it. I used to post in a LOST board and tons of people were privy to the Season 3 finale. Thank God I didn't read that.
Then we had Tiger Ryno on this board who very accurately "predicted" what the Island actually was mere hours before the episode that explained it premiered. He's still one of the worst ever and I really hope he doesn't catch onto this show, since he won't hesitate to spoil it for the Maesters and Hodors alike.

Checking in. Have read no spoilers for optimal mind blowingness. It's gonna be a bloodbath!!!

Haven't watched any trailers, looked at any posts on the reddit GOT sub, or any pics online.
Hopefully I don't get spoiled in here, but damn am I pumped for GOT.

But I mention in a different thread how GoT becoming popular is a terrible thing and has forced the dumbing down of the material and get downvoted into oblivion.

In all fairness to them the tower of joy scene would have been confusing if you haven't read the books. Ned says we he walks up where were you at the trident to protect your prince. He says Our prince wanted us here. Ned says the mad king is dead Rhaegar lies beneath the ground. Not advocating for dummies but I could see the confusing dialogue.

I'm sorry, but I'm not giving them the benefit of the doubt. LOST fans would have ripped people apart for being so retarded. Rhaegar and the Mad King have been mentioned separately dozens and dozens of times, and each season they talk about Lyanna and Rhaegar's relationship. Just pay attention.

I looked for you on the Trident,” Ned said to them. “We were not there,” Ser Gerold answered. “Woe to the Usurper if we had been,” said Ser Oswell. “When King's Landing fell, Ser Jaime slew your king with a golden sword, and I wondered where you were.” “Far away,” Ser Gerold said, “or Aerys would yet sit the Iron Throne, and our false brother would burn in seven hells.” “I came down on Storm's End to lift the siege,” Ned told them, and the Lords Tyrell and Redwyne dipped their banners, and all their knights bent the knee to pledge us fealty. I was certain you would be among them.” “Our knees do not bend easily,” said Ser Arthur Dayne. “Ser Willem Darry is fled to Dragonstone, with your queen and Prince Viserys. I thought you might have sailed with him.” “Ser Willem is a good man and true,” said Ser Oswell. “But not of the Kingsguard,” Ser Gerold pointed out. “The Kingsguard does not flee.” “Then or now,” said Ser Arthur. He donned his helm. “We swore a vow,” explained old Ser Gerold. Ned’s wraiths moved up beside him, with shadow swords in hand. They were seven against three. “And now it begins,” said Ser Arthur Dayne, the Sword of the Morning. He unsheathed Dawn and held it with both hands. The blade was pale as milkglass, alive with light. “No,” Ned said with sadness in his voice. “Now it ends
I still think they should have done this word for word.

They know their Hodor audience couldn't have sat through that many words and understood half of it.
Hell, they got 3 sentences and still got lost.
