That is one of the unfortunate things about big signing classes and just the way baseball is.
You may not get very many chances to succeed.

It is tough especially at elite level schools.

With that said I hope that he is back.

Is there a post with the final tally of the recruits that signed pro contracts and the ones that are coming? I'm sure I missed it somewhere

Pretty sure Project has the recruiting thread updated to include the guys we've recently added and removed guys that signed.

He probably wants Hess to stay at closer.

Hess was activated today by Bourne. The cape league usually does a decent job of listing probable starters and most of the teams stream their games. I'm going to try to watch his 3 starts if possible.

It's important for people to not get too hung up on his stats since he's trying to work on his 3rd pitch. Just like low minors stats, they don't tell the whole story. Especially for pitchers trying to ads pitches, not just trying to get outs.

Should never get too hung up on summer stats. Look at all the guys that have had really good summers, then get here and don't produce.

Surely LSU can find someone a little better than Bush to close games huh?

Hess and Gilbert will be weekend starters next year. A freshman may come in and win the job, but who on the roster currently would you put there? He's got good stuff, this was his first year back off of TJ.

Cam Sanders would be a nice closer assuming he can command his off speed, he has very nice velocity with his fastball.

I think that it will be Taylor Peterson as the closer with Cam as the primary set up person.

Those 2 appear to be the more experienced new guys coming in that could help the bullpen

I wonder how much of a chance that Bush or Kudros will looked at a possible left handed starter now that Poche is gone and Peterson and Nowak are lefties in the bullpen.

Lots of new arms coming in.

Coach Mainieri mentioned Bush as a possible starter in an Advocate interview this past week. He also said the pitching situation is the biggest question to be answered this off season.
