Which women's pro league is the most successful as far as recognition of stars and overall exposure?

It may be the nature of the two sports but I think Women's professional tennis and the LPGA are out in front.
Serena has done great things for women's tennis and the LPGA has a handful of young very marketable stars that help the league with exposure

Before I read your OP I was gonna say tennis. So I'll stick with that.

I'd still say tennis. Over the years, about the only female golfers I can name are Michelle Wie and Annika Sorenstam. That's literally about it. Oh, and Nancy Lopez.

With tennis, I (and most people) can probably name many over the years such as Chris Evert, Billie Jean King, Martina Navritalova, Martina Hingis, Steffi Graf, Monica Seles, Jennifer Capriati, Maria Sharapova, Anna Kournikova, Venus Williams, Serena Williams, etc.

I bet most people recognize all of those tennis names.

Women's tennis by far. 8 out of the 10 highest paid female athletes are tennis players. And when you consider the fact that Ronda Rousey is among the 10 highest paid female athletes and she likely won't ever fight again, that proportion will be even more lopsided in favor of women's tennis players. Also, I remember the late '90s, early '00s when women's tennis was even bigger than the men's game. People were bored by Sampras while the Wiliams Sisters, Graf, Hingis, Seles, Capriati were all immensely popular. Something like that will never ever happen in another sport.

You're probably correct. Tennis has bigger stars now and TV ratings are higher. Attendance probably goes to the LPGA. Overall, I think you're right.

I know people hate on the WNBA but women's college basketball has created enough stars to stock each team with one player casual fans have heard of...

Also the USWNT is playing in Europe now where women's soccer is getting bigger and bigger, as seen on ESPN3

Women's tennis.

I could see foreign women's basketball being profitable.

I bet less than 5% of the American population could name 2 WNBA players. I'm not sure 10% of the population could name 2 WNBA franchises.
