Universal Weed eater Heads.

I bought one for my Echo because the original one broke and the new one was a piece of shite. The blades don't even last as long as Weed eater line. Anyone ever bought one of these that's worth a crap or just get an original replacement?

I seriously thought the title subject was about a large community of pot heads that love to eat weed.

I purchased one and had a miserable experience. It sucks forking the cost, but I've found you can't beat just keeping to authentic parts. Or just hire messicans and watch them do it...

People actually use the blades instead of string?

I put one of the pivoting heads on my Stihl that uses 180 degree bent line. The theory is that the individual pivoting pieces saves the line from wearing out prematurely when people like my son attempt to cut down fence boards along with the weeds. It's also easier to load than the wrapped string.
So far have been pleased with it.

I've got something similar to this, except it has 3 lines instead of 4. Easy enough to change the line and it lasts for 2-3 uses, so I'm happy.

This is what I got. It's called Aeroflex and it's hot garbage. Damn thing was $25 and only came with 8 blades. Lasted 3 uses total.

To clear shooting lanes, a skilsaw blade on a weed-eater works wonders.

I have an Echo with the quick feed replacement.
Works fine for me!

Check out Echo's Speed Feed head, assuming that's not the one you're replacing. I like it better than any universal model I've tried.

This the one I have. Only issue I have is it is sometimes hard to pull the relase to get the string out. I can do my whole yard with out changing the string, I use .90 string and cut them to length myself

I bought the pivot trim (I think that's the name) and it seems to hold up pretty good for the last two years.

The trimmer I bought recently came with one of these as well as a standard head. The blades tend to just slap around thicker grass than actually cut it.
