For your review and discussion:

Slaughter, spikes to the shin, vs. Florida 2017 - Interference called.

Jankowski, spikes to Nola's shin, vs. LSU 2012 - Interference not called.

Interference should've been called against Stony Brook, just like it was correctly called last night.

Slaughter's was interference... just wish he would've gotten his money's worth.

Right leg vs left leg makes a big difference IMO

Look how their guy actually bothered to make it look like he was interested in second base.

Slaughter should have know that a double play still ties the game and should have done nothing other than slide as hard as he could directly into second base.

They were conceding the tying run, it was a stupid play by a freshman.

There were 0 outs, and it was obvious they were going to turn 2 and give the run up.

He should have thought about that, situational awareness.

Last night was full of mistakes between the 3 errors and that momentum killing play.

I didn't take a position in the OP, but I agree with Broski.

quote:

Interference should've been called against Stony Brook, just like it was correctly called last night.

In my dream "What If" scenario, Greg Street, the home plate ump vs. OSU, is the 2B ump last night instead of 3B.

He calls Slaughter safe because the 2B is "off the bag". Smith is safe at home. O'Sullivan and the 2B argue the call and are ejected. Tigers go on to win!

Did everyone stop watching the game after the 7th?

With all this talk about runner interference I feel (as someone who watched the game to the end) to point this out.

Florida scored 4 runs in the 8th.

FWIW, FYI, just so you know...and don't obsess about something that doesn't matter in the full 9 innings of that game.

Travis jankowski was a scrappy SOB. Wanted to punch him in the face when we were playing them but the dude can play. Think he's doing pretty well for the padres these days
