Probably pull a les miles and get semi-fired in 2022, only to be really fired in 2023 and replaced by AD.

Take a coaching job where there's less pressure?

Probably lose Alan Dunn to a head coaching job and then hire some former player who couldn't make it out of single A ball to be our new pitching coach?

Hire another of his prior players to coach that couldn't sniff a similar job. Hope incoming talent can overcome his inability to teach the game.

Doubt it he make a lot of money. He doesn't make his hitting coaches adjusting and he can never recruit more than 2 good pitchers each year.

It should. Say what you want about being outmatched yesterday, but he blew it by leaving Reynolds in too long, and by playing Coomes tonight.

He choked.

Well he got a lesson to not try to extend a guy who hasn't started a game in 2 years and letting him walk the bases loaded before pulling him in game 1 of the CWS. He'll never do that again. We hope anyway. Totally fricked up a chance to steal a game we shouldn't have been in. Can't make mistakes like that in crucial situations.

I doubt it. His team got much farther than anyone predicted.

That said, it is infuriating at how terrible he is with in-game management.
