Do you think the US will inevitably become more liberal after Trump

I feel that our country is moving stronger towards the left, and once the Baby Boomers have passed (ie over 75% have died), we will become much more socialist.
I know many of you are happy with the current administration, but what if the AHCA destroys Trump's legacy. People may not be so forgiving if their families lose coverage. It seems that many of Trumps plans have been to directly counter Obama. While understandable, dont you think he should focus on "America First" before Obama.
Trump has already proven that he can make good calls as POTUS. I just hope he does not ruin his own legacy. He has already had to step back on some policies, which is concerning.
Generation Z is supposed to be conservative, but I dont see how they will "Baby Boomer conservative".
Think about it
1) They grew up in a time where LGBT is legalized for marriage and many of them accept this as standard. Civil rights has always existed since they were born, so they grew up in a world with relatively less racial strife.
2) They grew up with technological access surpassing millennials. Social networking is a stronger part of their lives more so than any generation.
3) They are growing up in a time where technology is influencing the job market where less manual labor is needed than ever before.
I dont see how the older generation loves Gen Z when arguably they will be more dependent on technology. At best, Gen Z seems fiscally more conservative but very liberal socially.

Well, actually, Millenials are more "fiscally conservative" and "socially liberal", but that applies more to things like gay marriage, etc.
As for the generation after them, we'll never know. Children tend to start off opposite their parents on the political spectrum, then finally reach an equilibrium.

The pendulum always swings back and forth pretty regularly, that won't really change significantly

Not if they don't stop their violent ways

I think you need to re-read his post.

My kids will know how to work hard - not be pussies - between me and my Dad they won't ever hurt for money - they will be kings in their pussified generation

Barring--God-willing--a national catastrophe (which tends to unify folks), I think the country stays 50/50.

Of course it will. The U.S. has been becoming more liberal my entire life. It's the natural progression. The best Conservatives can hope for is to slow the progression.

That's not becoming more liberal. That's you secluding yourself to only liberal friends, then thinking the world is actually becoming more liberal. Works with both parties

Bc of filth like you my party has lost 1100+ seats since 2010, followed by the ahole we have in the WH now.
The joke is clearly on you, yet your arrogance and ignorance won't allow you to see it.

I understand his post quite well. I have kids this age. They see this crap daily now from the left. They understand the difference between right and wrong. If the left insists to treat violence as the solution to everything, in 8 years these kids will be 20 and won't get caught up in the same trap I did at that age.

Uhh. Fantastic. Let people do what they want, and mind your own fricking business.

Stone cold fact. Adjust as you wish.

Things will get worse before they get better. Progressives control almost all aspects of higher education and the media so it's an uphill battle.

Trump is saving America. After 8 years of MAGA, he will have shifted the country exactly where it needs to be, and then either Pence, DJTJr, or Ivanka will take over and continue the progress.
That's not a left/right thing, but rather a common sense and best for the country thing.

The answer would be no and yes depending on what your topic is. Some social issues will evolve (gay marriage, abortion, etc.), others will fade away (being inclusive to everyone).
Financially the left is screwed and will see what they want be torn apart. Gen Y some and especially Gen Z are very financially conservative. Gen Z will wipe clean the left financial platform.
The left has to do what it takes to keep the black vote. If they ever let that voting block approach the voting balance of the other races, you will never see another Democratic President. The Democrats have a much tougher road ahead of them.

When the younger generation becomes the older generation, they will have gotten jobs and converted to conservatives. It's easy when you're younger to have liberal views but when you actually see the fruits of your labor going to people who do nothing but suck off of the tit of the government, it changes you.
