At the age of 41 i have fell in love with the Dead. It's due to the release of the Cornell show on spotify. My wife has been out of town for the last 4 days and i have listened to 1 dead show a night on Archive.org since she has been gone.
Any suggestions and links for shows i should check out would be greatly appreciated. 3 years of JRAD shows with my buddy had a lot to do with this also.

If you have access to them, Dick's Picks is the way to go!

It's also worth watching the 6 episode documentary "Long Strange Trip" that was just released on Amazon streaming. I watched them all back to back on a long flight and was happy to have them loaded.

7.8.78 (mentioned by Captain Panic) is my go to.

I do get attraction for the live Dead stuff, just not for me and as a band in general, But.... Workingman's Dead and American Beauty.... at least a couple of songs that rank in my top 50 or so greatest R&R songs ever written / recorded.

Anyone get Dave's Picks 25? Tracking said it was gonna arrive on the 30th, so I was surprised to find it in my mailbox yesterday. Time will tell where I rank it on an all-time list, but it sounds great. Everyone's "just exactly perfect" in the mix, and a Miss Half Step opener is always a great way to get things going for me...and for anyone who cares, my copy is #10171 of 18000, lol

Touch of Grey's a pretty good song yo, maybe I would've been able to handle a concert of theirs in their relative prime but it feels like I'd have to be high for it IDK I'd prefer to assess and observe a concert from an objective and sober POV wanna notice errythang
