George Junius Stinney Jr. (October 21, 1929 – June 16, 1944), was a 14 year old African-American convicted of murder as a result of a racially-biased and discriminatory trial in 1944 in his home town of Alcolu, South Carolina. He is the youngest person in the United States in the 20th-century to be sentenced to death and to be executed.[1]
Stinney was convicted in less than 10 minutes, during a one-day trial, by an all-white jury[2] of the first-degree murder of two white girls: 11-year-old Betty June Binnicker and 8-year-old Mary Emma Thames. After being arrested, Stinney was said to have confessed to the crime.[3][4] There was no written record of his confession apart from notes provided by an investigating deputy,[5] and no transcript was recorded of the brief trial. He was denied appeal and executed by electric chair.

Pretty shameful.

My mom grew up on a cotton farm about 10 miles from where this happened. He was wrongly convicted and said conviction was vacated in 2014.

We can't prove anything, but to say there was no bias in the jury is an understatement

Not only did they execute a kid but a legit child murderer probably lived out the rest of his days laughing his arse off.
Shameful.
Shameful.

The only proper thing to do is kill a 14 yo whitey in 2017 right?

how many tax payer dollars were wasted by having officials reexamine this case?

This was the origin of the word "dindu".

right. But there isn't shite we can do about it now. Hes not the first person (of any color) to be railroaded in court and put to death. what does it matter?

Stinney, all of 5-1 and 90 lbs, was convicted of killing the two girls simultaneously, using a railroad spike. There was no appeal, as his family had no money. LINK
Lost in all the ridiculousness around statues and other current racial folderol is the fact that some seriously bad shite went on back in the day.
