Can we? shite there are probably a few posters on here who won't admit that there was ever so much as a wrongful lynching in our history.

You were the guy skipping history class because "this will never be useful in the real world" weren't you?

DNA is proving more and more to also have been a sham, at least in its early years.

It's really weird. It's like anything to point out racism in history makes them uncomfortable.

News flash- our descendants were fricking shitheads to black people. This is fact. Sweep it under the rug all ya want, but it obviously plays a role in racial tensions today.

This wasn't that long ago when you put it in generational context.

Bunch of people getting down votes in this thread.

It's terrible what happened, and I'm sure things like this are why we've mostly gone away with capitol punishment.

But they wanted to kill those white boys in West Memphis because they dressed differently. So maybe things haven't changed that much.

Right. Studying and understanding the context of history has no relevance to the present.

I agree with you, a lot seem to not though.

I have no way of knowing this. My descendants seemed busy fleeing from places they weren't welcomed.

We have tensions today because people don't like people that are diff. That goes for everybody.

and the only reason they ever even allowed black people to come into the country was because other black people enslaved them.

what does any of this matter? are you trying to make justification for why 13% of the population commited more than half of the crime and murders from 1980-2008?

Maybe racist people sentenced an innocent person to death.

Maybe a 14 year commited murder, which is 100% plausible, and he was correctly convicted and sentenced to death.

Without any hard facts nobody will ever know. To say one of the above is definitely correct is just plain ignorance.

While we're on the topic of complete ignorance, do you really think we ought to be executing 14 year old kids?

I was thinking about this after my response. Is the reason there is so much tension and killing amongst the black community because Africans enslaved and sold Africans?

My guess here is that they knew who killed the girls all along, it was probably someone well known in the community and this was done to cover it up.
I'm surprised that somewhere along the line there wasn't a deathbed confession by someone with a guilty conscience.
