Encouring a suicidal person to kill themselves is extremely fricked up.

What kind of penalties might she face come sentencing?

She was tried in juvenile court, and the judge found that she was a "youthful offender." I wonder how that will affect the sentencing options?

How can you say this? Spock, and that little talking monkey YOGA, are two of the greatest characters to have ever been created.

how so?

you don't think he was sick?

He kept talking about wanting to die, attempting suicide several times and each time opting out because he was scared or panicked. If that isn't sick i don't know what is. He was sick and needed help.
Maybe not sadistic, that would only derive from pleasure of those around him suffering.....who knows if he did or not. But dude was definitely sick.

I agree with depression being a sickness

But to call him sick and sadistic like her doesn't make sense to me based on what we know

Well, it's not exactly like she just called him "stinky-poopie pants" or said he had cooties. She talked an obviously mentally disturbed teenager into killing himself. That's a bit different.

I didn't say like her. I just posed the question back towards the kid that killed himself. Look at the kids track record. Kid had serious serious issues. It borderlined him crying for some form of recognition and attention.

Im not just throwing shite on a wall and seeing if it sticks.
My brother committed suicide, so I am speaking from experience here.

Sorry to hear about your brother

You already clarified that sadistic didn't fit. That's all I was asking

Words do MUCH more damage tan sticks. You get hit with a stick and the pain goes away. You get verbally abused, over time, and it can affect kids well into adulthood.

Are they going to try the media for manipulating that fella to shoot the Representative?

They've been spouting this shite for years?

Humans are easily led/manipulated

You don't have to be sorry. He made a choice. I shouldn't use that as a position to boost an argument. My bad.

I wouldn't want them tried for anything criminal. I would however like for them to accept the responsibility for the constant flow of shite that is put out during broadcasts nowadays. It's so constant, you can't be surprised that someone is going to be manipulated into doing something like this.

I doubt we'll ever see it in our lifetime, but I have honestly been waiting for someone to attempt to assassinate Donald Trump since the election. I know that probably sounds ridiculous.

First thing I thought of when I read this story today in the new was how many times I've read a thread that goes:

Poster 1- "I'm sure Mainieri will go 2 and out in Omaha this year!"
Poster 2 in retort - "Please kill yourself and do everyone a favor"

Just think, now that precedence has been set, let's say Poster #1 does kill himself (for whatever reason at ANY point in time) and someone finds this thread and sends to the FBI. So long as Poster #2 is not HRC, then they can trace it back. Poster #2 could be criminally charged..

Freakin' crazy..

The facts here are pretty egregious. She later acknowledged that she could have stopped him

That the judge used the idea that she could have stopped him as part of the basis of his ruling is very disturbing, a fundamental concept of law is that a individual has "no duty to act", if you see a person about to jump of a cliff and take no action to stop it even if it was well within your ability you cannot be held responsible for what happens.

You should read the text messages. She berated him for not killing himself, calling him a pussy, coward, etc. She told him to buy a generator and a hose. It was ridiculous

Yeah I read a few and don't want to read anymore. It's sick and pisses me off. Based on that evidence I do think she should be convicted. She basically did everything except kill the guy.

How the frick can someone do that? I almost feel like it's worse than Actually killing him. I wish I could punch that bitch in the face..
