I just ordered 2 of those oontz 3's for 2 of my loser kids who lost their pills and I ordered the JBL for me. If the Oontz sounds good - I'll send the JBL back.

Guy at work has one of these for out on site...will say it sounds pretty kick arse and you can pair 2 at a time

The speaker is a lot better than I expected. I like it a lot, actually. My only complaint is that the speakers are on only one side. Given the triangular shape, it would be better if there were speakers on both sides. But for $35 it is awesome.

Update on this purchase. No offense to the guy who made the recommendation, but it was a terrible purchase. The speaker just sits on my office desk. Has never gotten wet, never dropped, and I use it sparingly. A speaker has already blown (and I don't blare music; I only use it for videos/tutorials) and it can't hold a charge. I have to keep it plugged in for it to work. I guess you get what you pay for. I'll just have to buy a nicer speaker.
