Which of these sporting feats is the toughest and easiest?

Hitting a 95 mph fastball
Kicking a 50 yard FG in a game situation
Swimming a 400 IM in 5:00 or less
Running a marathon in under 4 hours
Pole vaulting
Returning a 130 mph serve
Saving a penalty kick against international level players
I was listening to a podcast discussing the most difficult things to do in sports. These were the ones mentioned. The consensus was that running.a marathon was probably the easiest for the average Joe to train for off the couch. Pole vaulting was the most difficult to start from scratch on, and returning a 130 mph serve or hitting a 95 mph baseball were damn near impossible for Joe off the couch.
Another way to look at it.
There are probably a decent number of HS/college baseball players that can hit a fastball, but only one swimmer in Louisiana has broken a 5:00 400IM in the past three years. Only 11 have actually finished it. Phelps holds the record at 4:02, but less than 50 years ago, the world record was 5:01.
There's at least one pole vaulter at each decent high school that has a track program, and the top goalies might be able to get a save on.a penalty kick, but not many can return a 130 mph serve.

Without a doubt the easiest. Four hour marathon is not near on the same level of anything else you have listed.

Fastball probably the easiest. I mean you're bound to make contact eventually even if you're unathletic

Easiest- saving the penalty kick. See Scott Sterling
Hardest- swimming the 400 IM... You can't fake it

Pole vaulting is pretty damn easy if you don't have to go more than like 8'

this is pretty unspecific but I'd still imagine this being the easiest of the rest listed

What? The easiest is pole vaulting. Kids in high school do that.
I don't know much about swimming or soccer. I'm fairly certain that it's easier for someone to hit a 95 mph fastball than it is for someone to kick a fifty yard field goal in a game situation with a rush coming at you. Hitting a fastball can be accomplished by accident. Nailing the shite out of the football accurately at an angle that gets it over the D-line when you've not trained for it is not going to happen. One hundred randomly selected people under 30 and in decent shape would lead to maybe 5 hitting the fastball and none hitting the 50 yarder.

key word there. If you have one shot equally across the board to perform any of those, my money's on the fastball blowing by 90% of the contestants

The 400m swim and the field goal are the hardest. Most people are simply incapable of ever doing that. The others can be accomplished with enough training or luck

Several people hit 95 mph fastballs everyday.
This rarely even gets a chance to happen, but I'd guess that the odds of putting it through the uprights are better than 1 in 10.
Swimming... um... Phelps is a badass, that's all I know about that.
Considering the record is just a few seconds above 2 hours, then 4 hours seems amateur.
Middle schoolers pole vault. It can't be that hard.
Again, pro tennis players do this every week, so much so that it doesn't even make the top ten plays each day.
Soccer? gtfo of here with that gay shite.

Easiest walking off the street - saving a penalty kick. Easiest with unlimited time to prepare - the 4 hour marathon.

the 130 mph volleyball serve
volleyball is so easy that women play it

How about summiting Everest without supplemental oxygen? Or reaching the summit of all 14 eight-thousanders without O2? I think only a dozen people have ever done that.

This was more of a one time event within a game conversation rather than a feat like that.

You're getting downvoted but I think I could hit a fastball in much less time than training for and running a marathon or learning to pole vault.

Toughest: swimming, hitting fastball.
Easiest: Marathon in under 4 hours.

Some people amaze me with their stupidity. Like blocking a kick in professional soccer is easy.

I swam a 100IM recently. Sucked.
Goggles picked up some water in the first 25 on butterfly and I struggled on the backstroke leg because I couldn't keep my eyes open.
