A positive side effect of TRUMP's "Apprenticeship" initiative

The side effect I'm talking about is that such apprenticeships and the pimping of Technical colleges (which don't typically offer liberal arts programmes) could help grow and develop a common-sense working class of loyal blue-collar baws not only in electoral-rich states like Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin, but in emerging industrial states like Tejas, Arizona, Nevada ,and North Carolina (all red states in danger of swinging blue due to demographics.
These are good-paying, healthcare providing jobs that we've been having to outsource. Kids who idiotically go to Marquette or even Ole Miss and blow $200,000 on Sociology majors can instead spend $5,000 on a welding or specialized equipment degree / paid apprenticeship and come out FAR FAR ahead. They'll also not be reliant on the Dems for social programmes / debt forgiveness, etc.
This is 4D underwater chess and a strike against liberal / elite education. And the added beauty of it is that Hispanics are common sense as frick and they will likely take advantage of these programmes (to be announced tomorrow) as much as Midwest baws - and that will also benefit the GOP in years, decades, and maybe even generations to come.

If blue class workers were smart, they would all become plumbers. They charge almost as much as top flight lawyers.

but,but,but....it's indentured servitude
That's the new tag line from "educated" Snowflakes, who never worked a day in their useless lives until after graduating from college, and have no semblance of a work ethic.
I would have gladly gotten my hands dirty out of HS for 45-50K/year with higher future earning potential.

Plumbing is legit, although I think electricians would be better (I know they get shocked a ton, which is the only downside). I'd rather tell people I'm an electrician than a plumber.
My electrician is a good blue collar baw who runs his own shop and I guarantee you he can make $1000 (cash sometimes) any day he feels like it.
Most of the time he just does two medium sized jobs and clears two $300 checks per day - still more than I make unless healthcare costs far more than I realize.
If I didn't have so much invested in my current career path I'd offer to be his apprentice or something and pay him to let me gopher for a year.

You have no idea what you're talking about.

Plumbers make a lot because no one wants to wade in shite.

You sound like a college baw stole your girl

Oh no! Blue collar baws are happier a lot of times than white collar. At least that's the way it seems to me.

You do realize that the pipeliner lives in that travel trailer for 8 months out of the year, right? That lifestyle has its perks, but it has its downsides as well.

Agree completely. Many college students would be much better off going a technical route where more good paying jobs are in demand.

I know a guy who does electrical work for high voltage stuff on farms like wells and irrigation pivots and clears half a million a year
