Kind of a waste of time posting this to someone who can't read it. Maybe he'll get his legal guardian to read it out loud to him.

IMO Missandei Greyworm scenes are pointless filler.

Fear is when GRRM hides for years and children are born and live and die, all without a new novel.

Set up a hidden cam on her for the red wedding please.

There are a few things that when they happen I am just going to sit there and watch her face and reaction. The red wedding is coming. I can't wait till she gets to "For the Watch" because she is in love with John Snow. She shed a tear for Ned.

I agree they all should have been 90 minute episodes

I was kind of expecting it considering the limiting of the number of episodes and the fact that there's still a lot of story to tell.

i had forgotten a lot of the small stuff that becomes major by the current seasons

Me too. I also think it's interesting how characters I thought were the major characters were killed off and all of these people I thought were minor players have been there through most of the books/seasons.

I'm a reader, too, but I only started the series in 2014, so it hasn't been as long for me.

Greatest part about this series is you can rewatch all 6 seasons and catch something you missed even if you have seen that episode several times.

Relative to the other seasons, yes. And I agree about Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken.

I'd say "Sons of the Harpy" is the worst episode they've ever done. Pure filler and then Ser Barristan gets killed by defending fricking Grey Worm from a bunch of teenagers with no training. For frick's sake, at least have him going down defending Dany, not a eunuch who has no personality to speak of. But that one is not far behind.

Season 5 was just sort a depressing, filler season. It's not bad, but there's such thing as "too much filler" and "too little filler." They should have developed the plot more in that season so they wouldn't have to cram as much into these last 2 seasons of the show.

------SPOILERSS!!!!!!------------

Also, having Jon Snow die like that at the end of the season when there weren't that many good characters left and such a fuss was made about his parentage left convinced absolutely NO ONE.

Five was first season they ran out of book material. However, the last three episodes or so we're pretty good.

It was obvious they wanted to leave off in a similar place as A Dance with Dragons. They may have wanted George a chance to get back in front and address the cliffhangers himself.

The vast majority of the season was based on book material. They were changes and omission, but the vast majority of what we saw was based on the text. Season 6 was the first where they really passed the books altogether.

So I recently got my wife hooked on GOT. We've been watching 2-3 episodes a night to get her caught up for when season 7 starts.

Same. It's a beautiful thing!

The only thing that was worth a crap in Season 5 was Hardhome/some of the stuff on the Wall and Cersei's arc (which that was wholly satisfying). The rest of it quite below par. Dorne with Jaime was nonsense, Arya only got entertaining by killing Ser Meryn, everything in Essos was boring as shite, LF sells Sansa off to the Boltons to get serial raped, and Stannis goes down in the most despicable way possible.

As far as I'm aware, it by no means deserved the Emmy that year. If it somehow did, that speaks for it being a shite year in television.
