Hell I would pay reparations, gladly, but that would be like giving a homeless man a dollar.

We've been paying reparations for decades. It's called welfare. And you are right, it doesn't do any good. All it does it encourage them to continue taking money they didn't earn & continue playing the victim card.

No one alive in this country has ever lived under legal slavery. No one deserves anything for what happened over 150 years ago. Most of the people crying for reparations can't trace their ancestry back 3 generations, let alone to the War of Northern Aggression.

The welfare system was the Dems answer to keeping millions of people on the Dem plantation. The government housing projects are the 20th century federal government equivalent to the 19th century Indian reservation system.

It stops when you let it go. If you can't let it go, you don't get to bitch about it not stopping.

This is top-to-bottom one of the most stupid things I've ever read. There's so much wrong with it I won't bother to even put in the effort

The welfare system was the response to the epic unemployment of the Great Depression. Democrats created it because Americans demanded it.

Johnson's Great Society Plan is what I was referring to. Should have made that clear.

Rename it Douglass, after Frederick Douglass

Some of his best quotes:
"I knew that however bad the Republican party was, the Democratic party was much worse. The elements of which the Republican party was composed gave better ground for the ultimate hope of the success of the colored man's cause than those of the Democratic party"

"The American people have always been anxious to know what they shall do with us... I have had but one answer from the beginning. Do nothing with us! Your doing with us has already played the mischief with us. Do nothing with us! If the apples will not remain on the tree of their own strength, if they are worm-eaten at the core, if they are early ripe and disposed to fall, let them fall! … And if the negro cannot stand on his own legs, let him fall also. All I ask is, give him a chance to stand on his own legs!"

26 downvotes = 26 fricking retards. I assume the DVs are for using "traitor." Even still, totally stupid because people know the point. George fricking Washington and confederate heroes are not on equal footing.
Well, Washington actually was a traitor to the British crown, as the USA didn't yet exist.

The CSA did exist. You can't be a traitor of a country of which you aren't a citizen.

Named for the mythological female Columbia. She sits on the
capitol dome.
