Regional rain, this didn't used to be this big a problem

Before the NCAA pushed the baseball season back so the northern teams could compete, the regionals used to be held 3 weeks earlier. Across the South, he rainy season really cranks up in June, the CWS used to start last weekend, Warren Morris hit his HR 6/7/96. Now several regionals are fighting rain delays.
The NCAA should consider going to a rain format, screw the schedule, just watch the clouds and get the games in when the weather allows.
Or we could just tell the northern schools, you have hockey, let us play baseball.

If you have a regional in the south, play in the morning and at night.

We have stayed pretty much on schedule with this regional. Maybe its not that big of a problem. Just snowflakes like to overreact and make a big deal out of every single thing these days.

Nothing spazzes out our fans like rain. It's amazing.

Seems like Skip had them bring in a helicopter to dry off the outfield due to rain.

Ever since we have been getting regionals rain has been an issue...hell they used a helicopter to try to dry the outfield in a regional against Tulane that was prob late 80's
Posted on 6/4/17 at 4:36 pm to andouille
If only the internet was around in the late 80s and 90s. Helicopter hovering over the outfield, vacuum trucks trying to suck the water off the field, having to call the baseball office every hour for updates, etc. Good times.
The rant would have lost its mind.

Climate change is real! And this is proof. Caused by too many cows farting.
I'm at McDonald's now doing my part to alleviate the problem.
