I would argue that Ervin Santana has been underrated much of his career. He has been a nice pitcher in most seasons and never gets credit.

Career numbers of 4.02 era, 4.22 fip, 4.19 xfip, 26.4 WAR, 97 era-, 102 fip-. That's ok but I don't know if would call that an underrated player

Maybe I'm being critical though

Okay, I disagree with you - Trout is definitely the best player in baseball. But I'll give you a chance to voice your expert opinion. Who is, in your opinion, the best player in baseball?

As for the comment about him already being a hall of famer... please provide evidence. I watch a lot of baseball and have never heard that said of him. The closest I've heard is, "he's on his way to being a first ballot HOFer." That is said about quite a few players though.

The rest of your over rated list is simply emotional gibberish predicated by your unhappiness with the current status of your favorite team. I've noticed You tend to be a bit irrational when it comes to baseball talk.

Correa was compared to Alex Rodriguez coming into his rookie year.

Based on that alone he's overrated.

Bogaerts is what he is at this point. I'll never understand why he completely abandoned the power part of the game.

Overrated:
Salvador Perez
Rick Porcello

Underrated:
DJ Lemahieu
Miguel Sanó
Brandon Belt

Also to an extent, I feel as though Ian Kinsler has been a bit underrated throughout his career.

That's my point. People forgot about him, and he is a very solid starter.

Then Yu Darvish has to be on anyone's overrated list: "ace" pitcher with no complete games in his career and sub .500 record against Oakland (nobody has them confused with Bay Area neighbor San Francisco by any stretch).

I've seen and heard some whoppers in my relatively short time on this earth but this may be the worst. Sheesh.

bullshite. He's leading the All star voting ahead of much more deserving players and he's batting like .235. I'd say he's closer to overrated than underrated.

REst of your list is good.

Scherzer is underrated if anything. I don't think people realize how good his resume has been over the past 5 or so years. He has a legit HOF chance if he can replicate that over the next 5.

I don't understand why people shite on him. He will compete for batting titles, bats near .300 or more every year, and plays a premium position. Seems like a great player to me.

Some teams are starting to find out you can't have a lineup full of guys who are three true outcome players. You need a mix of some guys who can actually hit the ball instead of just walking and swinging for the fences.
