So you have beef with them petitioning? Do I have that right?

No. They can petition all they want. I would have had a problem if the school had changed the dates after all the preparations had been made.

I've already said in this thread, that had they made their request early in the year this could have been avoided. I wonder why they waited until a week or two before prom?

No, they aren't. Two parties arguing irrelevant points doesn't make either important.

You haven't.

He is just looking for a reason to have beef with this non-story. Petition made. Petition denied. There is nothing to be angry about.

Even the students have requested that the petition be deleted because the issue has been resolved

Islam by definition based its tenants is not compatible with any other non-Islamic culture. The sooner our politicians acknowledge this (I'm looking at you Democrats) the better.

Right, these kids probably just left Homs amirite?

While trying to make your point through a weak joke you've actually argued for the other side.

These kids were probably born here and still haven't gotten on board with the western way of life.

Thanks!

Because everybody else had made plans and planned ahead. they should, too. They (apparently) raised their objections at the last minute. HubbaDubba made a pretty extensive list of what would have to be changed around to accommodate them.

Since those points were the points the Muslims made, it is relevant to the conversation. THEY made those points as to why the prom should be changed. I merely showed why they were not relevant.

Yet Many Muslims live here without causing issues? Strange comment over a thread about a harmless petition.

So?

I fail to see why you would have a problem with the school setting their own policies. Do you have children that attend this school?

That doesn't make them relevant, and it certainly doesn't make them important.

Do you mind giving some links? I am not seeing what you are saying in any of the provided links. I am guessing you are finding some updated stories, and I would like to get the most up to date information on this.

Those were what the complaints were based upon, how could they NOT be relevant if the complaints they were making were not applicable?
