Frank trying to sabotage her from the outside could be interesting

If the shite ending of Season 5 gets me a whole season 6 of Francis conspiring to bring down his wife while all the while looking like her savior then it will be worth it. FU is at his best when he's pulling strings against a sitting President...who this time just happens to be wifey. I'm in!

Frank on the floor like that is a hell of a lot more believable than the revote bullshite, new election and acting President until the new election is over...... All of that is statuary legislation that violates the constitution six ways from Sunday. It would be unanimous 9-0 decisions from SCOTUS justices striking that down. The only way all of that could be remotely legally possible is through a constitutional amendment.

The Supreme Court even being deadlocked at 8 justices and Congress in real life would never allow the candidates to pull this bullshite and never allow them to hold that kind of sway over the house deciding the election or even the senate postponing their vote.

House of Cards Season 5 was basically banana republic bullshite from wannabe dictators in the Underwoods.

I love how the Underwoods accused the military of using terror to make them lose the election when they literally did the same thing just a few months ago. That's the thing about them, they are massive hypocrites and they do not give one single flying frick about that.

Now not only are the Underwoods murderers, liars, thieves, backstabbers and hypocrites, they are also the biggest cheaters having just committed massive election fraud by abusing the powers of their office to undermine the integrity of the vote and electoral college.

I hope I never watch tv or movies like this. You must have hated BB. A straight arrow high school chemistry teacher with inoperable cancer becoming a murderous meth kingpin with $85 million in under 2 years? C'mon

To be fair, that's way more believable than a lot of House of Cards the past couple seasons. The Claire plot line is more of a fantasy than anything in Game of Thrones.

A community organizer became our President IRL with one speech given 4 years before his election

And still, that was way less ridiculous than Claire being named Vice President.

Ok then, a famous person that half the country hates who was never a politician just won our presidency. It's no more unbelievable than any other plot line of any other show. Hell, most of the people here probably watch TWD

So I'm on episode 5 right now, and there are some pieces that I don't remember how they fit together. The woman who Doug Stamper is fricking, who is she?

I hate Claire. As the story has grown to include more and more of her it has become less enjoyable. It's hard to pick a fitting end for her. I'd say death but I'd rather her end up out of power in any way and alone. Not alone by choice but because she is so toxic that no one will risk associating with her.

Have you noticed how she never genuinely laughs and smiles with anyone ever? The only people she's around are either lower in rank professionally or her boss. I don't think I've ever seen her with legit friends and family.

When she said to a pregnant woman that she's willing to let her baby die to win a lawsuit, that said it all about her and that she's a narcissistic sociopath that doesn't give one single frick about anyone at all and only cares about her own personal and professional advancement.

No wonder Frank Underwood is married to her, she fits him pretty damn well. I'm just hoping here that Frank will do everything he can to bring her down and make her as miserable as he is. Those two deserve each other.

Add in the fact that Congress and the General Public will never allow him to be VP or POTUS or even a cabinet member ever again and that will make it more satisfying.

Frank only has one mission right now and that's to keep his arse out of prison and sabotage his opponents and that may well include Claire if she refuses to pardon him.

So Frances pushes Durant down some stairs, and that's the best that they could come up with?

Meh. Things should be plausible within the world of the show. BB is plausible enough within the set up that I am willing to go along for the ride. House of Cards is set up as a political drama based off of the government of the United States, and this assumes some amount of relation to that reality, even if dramatized. The incredible, fantastic leaps that it repeatedly asks you to make take a viewer out of the story with how stupid they are.

HoC started as a fun thriller with a couple of silly plot twists the first couple of seasons. It is now just pure pulp, trash entertainment. I watched this last season, but I don't have very much enthusiasm for it. Depending on how I'm feeling I may or may not watch next season.

Very well said. I'm leaning towards not watching the episodes initially and waiting until i hear some feedback.
