Purely selfish reasons now. How does Chris Cornells death effect Pearl Jam?

Matt Cameron is the drummer for both bands. I assume they are all devastated. Vedder is one sensitive dude. I can think of a number of songs that they will have a hard time with whenever they do get back out.

So much "inbreeding" between the two bands. Vedder only got "comfortable" with his place in music within the last 10 years. This whole being "the only Seattle singer left" thing will frick him up.

Ib4 pearl jam sucks.

Ib4 Seattle music was all over rated.

It shouldn't effect them at all since he's not in the band. Vedder is from San Diego so he's a bit isolated from the Seattle scene.

Vedder lived a lot of places. San Diego when Andy Wood died and Jeff and Stone started looking for a new singer.

Mike Mcready was tight with Cornell. The whole band has ties to him.

Think he still lives in Seattle (lives in Hawaii too).

I think Vedder will likely either become a recluse like Eric Clapton for a few years and semi-retire from music or he will aggressively tour and flame out with an OD on drugs or suicide within 4 years.

Hope not.

I don't want to be on youtube calling into a talk show/radio show and crying.

Eddie may be gutted by CC's death but he seems to be in a good spot in his life to deal with it. I think he's has finally found contentment and happiness with his wife and two daughters. That is clearly evident with his solo work and a couple of the songs on Lightning Bolt. He has a lots of things to be happy about and to live for.

I don't think Eddie V. will see New Year's 2018. That's just the fate of that era of lead singers.

Bolt had a lot of good 'older' stuff in terms of writing for a man his age. I think if it affected him severely, he would've cancelled his solo tour.

I believe the rumored PJ album release for late '17 will definitely be pushed back.
