Unless this wasn't his first offense, he should have been removed from the property and issued a warning. No need to saddle him with an arrest over this. It's a massive overreaction.
How about we compare how they handle similar occurrences before we scream overreaction. Do you have first hand knowledge that L'Auberge typically gives a slap on the wrist for people using fake IDs in their casino?

Maybe he was a dick when they stopped him.
Oh, I'm sure a little of "do you know who I am" was being tossed around

Maybe they didn't know who he was. He was using a fake ID and could have had someone else's name on it

Kid was being an idiot, he got what he deserved.
You should stop being an idiot and "boycotting" a place for enforcing laws.

My understanding was that he used someone else's ID to get in, and then tried to use his own ID to cash out

Since when do they ask for IDs to cash out
Posted on 5/23/17 at 11:06 am to ROPO
No, it's not the casinos fault. The louisiana state gaming regulations do not take this lightly, they were left no choice.

I'm supposed to not go to a place I enjoy going to because someone breaking the law was arrested?
if my favorite bar had one of my family members arrested for using a fake ID...guess what...I'd still go to my favorite bar

Yea, stolen identity is an overreaction.

I always thought they did it if it was a large sum or money or if you looked too young maybe. I had to do it a few times in Biloxi

You do realize college athlete and gambling do not go together.
Hell, they can't even play tournament brackets for small amount of money.
It's a bad look!
and I'm not saying he did anything really wrong.

This is not a mom & pop liquor store. It's a rather large corporation, with policies. Policies designed to protect said corporation. The outcome (or overreaction) is by design and is what it is. Anything else and some poor schmuck risks losing his job.

Casinos don't typically give warnings for fake IDs, ESPECIALLY if he got in with it and was gambling before they caught him.
I know Casino Rouge(Hollywood) arrested plenty people for fakes back in the late 90s, early 2000s.
