I love that people are boiling this offense down to "fake Id"

"Ohhh we all did that in college!"

First of all, no, we didn't all do that in college. Second, it's not the fake Id that he's busted for. It's using it to GAMBLE at the biggest and strictest casino in the area. Of course they're going to come down hard on him.

Time to Boycott L'Auberge Casino

Ok. Meet me at Hollywood Casino tonight. I believe it's BBQ Rib night. Let's dress up in our ghost costumes to be funny.

I don't boycott for political reasons, so I sure will not boycott because someone broke the law. Having said that, I don't think Lanard's offense is that big a deal. Casino's everywhere have so many regulations to follow from the various states and their gambling commissions that they don't have many leniency options because of the scrutiny required of them.

I'm not here condoning what Lanard Fournette did. He should be running the steps in Tiger Stadium right now.

And I'm not saying he should be treated differently because he is a reserve running back on the LSU football team.

College kids do stupid things and use fake IDs all of the time.

Unless this wasn't his first offense, he should have been removed from the property and issued a warning. No need to saddle him with an arrest over this. It's a massive overreaction.

And the management of L'Auberge made the call to overreact. They are totally within their rights to do that and we are totally in our rights to say that as a result, we will not patronize your crappy casino.

Casinos are highly regulated. They didn't overreact, you are though.

I agree, I'm not going to that casino ever again, of course I never go to any casino. Casinos are for suckers who failed math.
