This parent should be thankful that's all that happened. Stupid kids...

MILLEDGEVILLE, GA (WGXA/CNN) – More than 30 high school seniors in Georgia will not be allowed to take part in their graduation ceremony because of a “dangerous and unsafe” senior prank.
Beverly Smith says she’s disappointed in the school’s decision. Her daughter is one of the students who was involved in the senior prank at Baldwin High School in Milledgeville, GA.
"It's heartbreaking. It's disappointing. My daughter is the only child of her father. He won't get to enjoy in that at all,” Smith said.
On Thursday, more than two dozen students entered the school wearing all black and wielding water guns and water balloons. Some even had on masks.
Two students not involved in the prank experienced panic attacks, according to the Baldwin County Board of Education, which called the prank “a very dangerous and unsafe situation.”
"I do agree that it should not have happened. I do agree that some punishment should be taken, but I think that them not being allowed to walk is far too harsh, and I understand that it needs to stop,” Smith said.
On Saturday, Smith and the parents of 34 other students received calls that their child would not be permitted to walk at graduation.
Smith thinks school leaders should have done more to stop or prevent the prank.
"It's been traditional that pranks do occur, and for them to see the seniors come in like that from a parade and them are all wearing the same colors, would have given me an indication that something was going to happen,” she said.

Smith says students needed a warning in addition to the code of conduct.
"I agree with that being there, but I think as the year ensues and it gets closer to graduation, just like they would remind them of a test, a reminder was needed,” she said.

No one likes dark/dry humor more than me but this "prank" was off the retarded scale......they got exactly what they deserved.

This exact same thing happened two years ago at a Jefferson Parish High School and the administration ultimately caved under the exact same arguments the parents made here. The kids did it at dismissal and it could have gotten really bad had they not realized it was a prank.

Hmmmm
Oh and take some responsibility for your kids, first reaction was to blame the school for not stopping them and giving them a warning.. Lucky one of them didn't take a round to the dome

People make graduation ceremonies too big of a deal. The only important things are the diploma and the picture on the stage for mom and dad and the grandparents. They should just line up seniors on the last day of school as they're heading out the door, hand them a cap and gown and take a picture of them getting the diploma and call it a day. no need for the big showing about it, nobody cares about the ceremony. Graduating high school isn't some big honor, its about as average as you can get and its what your supposed to do, so why make it a big production out of it. Complete and utter waste of time, and just a money grab by companies like Jostens, make you by that cap and gown and all the dumb trinkets that come stamped with a cap and gown or diploma. Its an entire industry set up around an event that no one will remember 5 minutes after the ceremony is over./rant

First time I thought I would ever see my hometown listed in a discussion on the OT.

He should have thought of that sooner. That's one of the main reasons I had more than one kid.
