If the person with the gun is struggling with an attacker and the attacker gets free and is going for a weapon (knife, brick, blunt object, etc.), the person with the gun might shoot the attacker to prevent them from getting said weapon.

Incriminating emails leaked to someone with a history of publicly releasing such things and suspected leaker is killed while walking home after a late night working for a campaign.

Person A and Person B are grappling.
Person B has a holstered gun around his waist.
Person A is able to lower one arm/hand, get the gun, and then wrap arm/hand (now, with pistol) back around Person B.
Person A shoots Person B once in the back. Person B flinches but does not release Person A.
So, Person A shoots Person B again.
Possible in this scenario that one or both of the bullets could go through Person B and hit the front of Person A.

Shooter is a cop. Victim is not.
If the above doesn't work, victim shoots self while handcuffed in back of police car.

I can see it happening very easily.

Well, shortly before I matriculated from LaTech in the late 80's I know the LSP ruled the University President's business partner an accidental suicide hunting event when he was found draped over a barbed wire fence shot in the back with a shotgun (if I remember correctly it was shot 2x). This was shortly after the gay director of food services at the university was found dead in a notell motel near Dixie Inn and a homeless vagrant hitchhiker was arrested over that.

Can someone lay out a scenario where a morbidly obese, elderly disgraced former Network head and key Presidential ally "falls" and dies just miles from Mar a Lago?
His name was Roger Ailes.

Person A lunges at armed Person B and wraps his arms around B's waist tying to tackle or something. B somehow avoids the takedown, or maybe even goes down with his weak arm holding A's head, draws and puts two bullets into the back of A.

Sometimes a robbery is just a robbery. Mystery solved.
I'm more interested in how the Air Force could create a tornado.

The story I heard is that Jill palmairi called somebody she knew at the SEIU and they sent a couple of thugs to beat Seth's arse but Seth fought back vigorously.

Turn to give atomic elbow and get shot in back first time. Fall to ground and do Bruce Lee handspring back to feet but facing wrong way and get shot in back again.

Mugger approaches victim demanding valuables.
Victim refuses and attempts self-defense.
During struggle either: A) mugger pushes victim away, B) victim attempts to flee and call for help, or C) victim ends up with back to mugger in any number of ways.
Mugger fires two shots.
Mugger, aware that gunshots will likely attract attention, immediately flees.
