Great! Finally, after tonight, New Orleans will be 100% crime-free! Glory be to Mitch Landreau for discovering the real causes of social strife in New Orleans and having them destroyed!

I honestly believed that this one would never come down. I just didn't think the insanity ran that deep. Obviously, I was wrong. Landrieu's pandering bitch arse knows no bounds.

I wish there were OSHA inspectors in the New Orleans area who had the balls to shut down these half assed masked demo crews.

The absolute insanity is that people still revere leaders of a failed rebellion that was fought to protect the inhuman bondage of other people.

Saw a matte black lift crane parked near the corner of Andrew Higgins Dr. and Convention Center Blvd. yesterday with a weird attachment on the end of it. Thought for a second it had something to do with the monuments but now it makes more sense.

The spotlight isn't so favorable and Mitch seems to have pissed people off on this issue. Instead of getting friendly coverage from a one statue a week removal we are in "get it over ASAP" mode.

Enjoy your ~$250K cush and meaningless post mayoral SJW job Mitch.

I'm actually flying into town tomorrow and was hoping to do this with my buddies. This whole situation sucks.

Virgil Caine is the name, and I served on the Danville train
'Till Stoneman's cavalry came and tore up the tracks again
In the winter of '65, we were hungry, just barely alive
By May the tenth, Richmond had fell, it's a time I remember, oh so well

The night they drove old Dixie down, and the bells were ringing
The night they drove old Dixie down, and the people were singin' they went
La, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la

Back with my wife in Tennessee, when one day she called to me
"Virgil, quick, come see, there goes Robert E Lee"
Now I don't mind choppin' wood, and I don't care if the money's no good
Ya take what ya need and ya leave the rest,
But they should never have taken the very best

The night they drove old Dixie down, and the bells were ringing
The night they drove old Dixie down, and the people were singin' they went
La, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la,

Like my father before me, I will work the land
Like my brother above me, who took a rebel stand
He was just eighteen, proud and brave, but a Yankee laid him in his grave
I swear by the mud below my feet,
You can't raise a Caine back up when he's in defeat

The night they drove old Dixie down, and the bells were ringing,
The night they drove old Dixie down, and all the people were singin', they went
Na, la, na, la, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na,

Robert Edward Lee will live on forever in the hearts of all patriotic southerners who love virtue and the rule of law.

Today is my birthday so I'm trying to remain calm, but I really hate this fricking guy. Mitch needs to be put in the fricking ground quicker than he brought down these statues.

General Lee coming down TONIGHT

Dear Mitch Landrieu,

Do you think you could stop fricking women who aren't your wife and squandering tax money while shitting on your family name and ignoring your electorate long enough to address even one issue that actually matters?

Crime? Education? Poverty? Streets? Infrastructure? Professional careers? Attracting big businesses? Keeping college grads in state?

Unaddressed. Not even attempted to be addressed.

Statues literally no one cared about?

Unilaterally brought down in less than a week using the biggest, fastest, and most efficient coordination of public funds, private contractors, and public utilities maybe ever seen in this city.

And if you were going to rip the statues down, could you have put a little foresight or given the least amount of shite of what the sites would look like when you ripped the statues down?

Because now city park looks like vandalized Iraq. You couldn't have sanded down the pedestal and written city park? Or painted the bricks white.

Do you have any plan for that? Or is your plan to take a shite on this city before you leave?

Can you let us know if you decide to destroy any more possible private property without regard for legal process to further your own goals?

Signed,
Tax paying people of New Orleans

I don't live in New Orleans. But as a Louisiana resident, let me say how exciting it is to know that we've got a city on the verge of becoming a world class destination both in terms of population, industry and innovation as well as culture. Look out Houston and Atlanta. We've figured out the problems and we're coming.

Marvelous Mitch! The savior you never knew you needed.

I heard once these statues are down approximately 1.87 million people are moving to New Orleans to catch up to Houston.

Are they going to take down the whole column and everything, or just the statue at the top?

Before the Jefferson Davis statute was removed on the UT Austin campus, liberals were saying that it was something that belongs in a museum instead.

Now that it's in a museum, liberals are saying that it should have all the lights turned off around it and sit in the dark (whatever). I shite you not, this was a news story this week.

Remember this, my fellow Americans: They want it all removed and it's 100 percent about revenge.
