I really doubt this. It looks like garbage.

Gal Gadot looks like a total badass, but lets be honest, as long as Zack Snyder's fingerprints are on this project it is going to completely underwhelm.

I'm not DCEU basher....but I do distinctly remember how BvS was the greatest superhero move ever made after the first batch of reviews came out, so I'll just have to wait and see it for myself.

Previews looked ok. After getting burned by BvS and SS, I'll be waiting on the audience reviews. ETA: Scratch that. I'll be waiting for RedBox.

I have seen some tweets posted by some critics that appear to be very positive. However, there's also some very reliable posters on another site that I'm on a lot (box office theory) that have seen it and they didn't like it very much. One of them says it's a "borderline mess" of a film. TIFWIW.

So far this appears to be the only film in this universe that didn't completely run off the rails up to release.

But honestly if this movie gets a tomato score north of 50 it'll be seen as a huge accomplishment.

DCEU reminds me of the Miles era, lots of preseason hype but then the debut hits and its the same fricking problems every time

critics must really be torn on this one. they can white knight for this like they did for ghostbusters...or crap on another dc film. it must really be difficult.

It's the first female lead superhero movie. Critics are going to pump it up even if it sucks.

ETA: See new Ghostbusters, Luke Cage (not near as good as the reviews), etc

We've seen all this before with DC. Great trailers, great reactions from screenings by fans and a few critics, over hyped tweets, only for the movie to come out and be a complete disaster. I refuse to get over hyped for this shite anymore. I want it to be good and I hope it is, but none of this means anything until the embargo is lifted and the movie is released.

I will just never understand how WB could frick up so badly on such a cash cow of a product that also happens to be my favorite fictional characters. If they screw this movie up, whatever hope and optimism I have left will all but diminish. It would almost defy logic if they were to frick up three times in a row (four for those who didn't like Man of Steel), but somehow I wouldn't be surprised.

I have been as brutal as anyone regarding the DCU movies.

BvS was a boring mess.

SS had a plot that made no sense. . .and they turned The fricking Joker into a sappy romantic.

I even brutalized the casting of rail-thin Gadot as THE Amazon.

I have made many posts that I will not rehash here regarding those properties.

But WW looks like it is going to be solid action fare. I am getting excited. I think some here are sold on hating it, sight unseen.

They're moving the first screenings to a day earlier. Wednesday May 31st Fan Screenings. I haven't seen any listed for Louisiana.

I not only don't believe it's a good movie, I don't care.

I have lost all patience and faith with DC. It's too little, too late to make a good movie out of a character who is far and away less beloved than Superman and Batman.

That would be like if Marvel's first few movies were about Spider-Man and the X-Men (probably Marvel's most popular franchises before the MCU took off due to the '90s cartoons - and yes I realize Marvel would have to have the rights to those franchises) and those movies sucked absolute arse, and then making a good movie out of Thor and expecting people to give a shite. Particularly with a no name actress/actor who can't anchor the franchise. If Chris Hemsworth were the lynchpin of the MCU rather than RDJ, we'd be looking at a shitty MCU. If Gal Gadot is the lynchpin for the DCEU, they're in trouble.

BvS has an RT score of 28%
Suicide Squad is at 25%
Man of Steel has a 55%

Who here thinks that Wonder Woman will be that low?

It's a great movie, I saw it a week ago and I won't give any spoilers, but I will say it's the best DC movie yet. Gal Gadot is the hottest B on the planet and she is Wonder Woman, she embodies her! Great special X's, and it captures the feel of WWI, it's not WWII like some people think it is when comparing it to Captain America. It's funny though because I always thought Chris Pine would be Captain America, he looks like he could be the guy right out of the comics, but Chris Evans has done a great job.
