Just play and see.... I think it's a good time. There is a course not far from where we live we go to sometimes. We're not like some who have a full bag of discs, but it's a good time on a nice day.

Nobody I know that is actually able to play real golf prefers the alternative of disc golf.
We pay lots money and still drink beer to play our game to avoid disc golfers.

I used to play a lot. It gets you outside and walking around, it's challenging enough to enjoy, and it is dirt cheap to play. Most courses are free. If you haven't tried it, you'd probably like it.

It's a lot of fun! I play competitively in leagues and tournaments (as an amateur; I just hit 951 rating with the last pdga update) as well as casually.
It's cheap to get into, cheap to play, and not as stuffy of a crowd as ball golf. Same basic strategy as well. I'm throwing a round at ghost town tomorrow, then bucksnort and phantom falls next week.
Big bead aviars ftmfw!

You bring all those discs with you each round?
No limit to 14?
Impressive.

Played once. Thought it was really fun when I did it. Played soccer golf one time too. Also fun.

I played once several years ago at ghetto George Ward Park in Birmingham. Somewhere around the 8th hole a black guy came stumbling out of the woods and asked me if I had any weed. Last time I ever played.

Disc golf? Is that the same thing as Douche Disc?
Posted on 5/4/17 at 4:29 pm to Eli Goldfinger
Me and my padnuhs usually play 18 with a doobie in the woods

Disc Golf rules.
Wanna find out how uncoordinated someone is. Get them to throw a Frisbee.

I live on a golf course that I am a member of. . .I probably like disc golf better

I love golf but it's really expensive and takes many hours to play. I have three disc golf courses within 5-10 minutes of my house and try to play at least once/month. Free and I'm only gone from the family for about 1-2 hrs.
Sometimes it's fun to play with friends but I also enjoy it by myself as one of my outdoor (being with nature like a hippie) activities.

There is no cap on the number of discs you can carry. Since you're throwing a disc not hitting a ball, it's sorta like if you were throwing your club at the hole. Many people carry a few discs to cover a variety of shots-basically left turning, straight, and right turning shots for short, medium, and long range distances, and in varying conditions. Wind has a greater impact than in ball golf.
14 discs is not very many really. My tournament bag has 22-24 discs depending on the length of the course. I'll throw a couple extra distance drivers in for longer courses.
