Strong safety is either a troll or an ignorant twat. I'm not sure which

Well if you want to talk in generalities, OK. In GENERAL, police do an unbelievably difficult job with a great deal of restraint. You have NO IDEA of the dregs of the earth that they face. Are there some bad ones? Since they are part of the general population, then, sure. By and LARGE, they handle thousands of encounters EVERY DAY with ideal behavior. If you don't want to interact with them, stay away from drugs, crime in general, and work hard. You will, in all likelihood NEVER have a problem.

The obvious flaw with your argument is that drugs are awesome.

Why do you think they call it 'dope'?
dope.
dope.

Sure. Now suggest a governing body that could oversee the accountability without being partial.

BLM. They seem to be impartial

The cops have also been shown to have lied repeatedly in these situations. Fortunately for them, they are the enforcers of the law, and they basically can grant immunity to themselves. Seen it time and time again.
No, you haven't. In fact, you can't name a single instance where the police granted themselves immunity.

Yep, cops need to start telling the truth before video proves they lied.

Well, therein lies your problem. Since government is the only entity that can employ the justifiable use of force, any entity that would oversee the police would have to be part of the government. If not, the police could simply laugh off their findings.
This is pretty basic civics.

My bad I meant that's is one trial that has gone as it was supposed to as opposed to the many that haven't.
I also watched some of the trial..and it was bit gut wrenching. Many of these guys don't set out to gun down citizens. I think some get scared and they panic and shoot. Perhaps because they know the law is in their favor or perhaps because they are trained to view people as criminals and not as humans first.
Either way, I could see how much he regretted his decision and how much it pained him. I think he was truly remorseful for all the pain he has caused the Scotts and his family. He did the right thing and pled guilty. Most of these scumbags will fight it to the death under the guise that they were just "doing their job" and that they have no regret, and that "they did the right thing."
That transactional POV on taking someone's life just makes me want to vomit. It's borderline psychopathic, detached and inhumane really..it's almost as if we are training our cops to soldiers.

So what are you saying? It can't be done?
My point was that if you want those things then you should work towards that goal, protest police beatings, or when they wrongly convict someone, there's plenty of those cases.
My frustrations (and maybe other people's) with BLM and all this shite is that they pick these fights with no stated goals and only seem to seek conflict, not resolution. You can "seek justice" all you want but until you define what that justice is, you're just pestilent children screaming to be heard with nothing to say.

So do you disagree with the evolving narrative that the current DOJ is racist and found the BR officers to not have infringed on Sterling's civil rights based solely on the fact that they are white and he was black?

Name names or quit talking out of your arse.
There's a thread on the first page where the cop lied about the car coming at him when he shot the 15 year old. The chief made statements contrary to the officer's account

That was my point.
I'm not sure you have a point.
You want accountability for police but you don't want any level of government (local, state, federal) to do it yet you recognize the fact that no one other than government as the power to do it.

This is why your posts fail. You can make some valid points but ultimately LOSE because of these kinds of comments. LEOs are NOT trained in this fashion. It is FALSE to say it.

I am sure they are....Care to comment as to why they may be scared?

The made up stories of stalking folks in a grocery store who use EBT cards are the ones I am sick of hearing.
Everyone tells the same story not realizing that they're repeating Facebook bullshite.
