The cops have also been shown to have lied repeatedly in these situations. Fortunately for them, they are the enforcers of the law, and they basically can grant immunity to themselves. Seen it time and time again.

It baffles me how some people really think it's far fetched for cops to lie if their freedom is on the line. It's not like they aren't amongst one of the most protected classes in this country. They can literally do anything and get away with it. Common sense tells me that gives them more leeway within the law than others.

The made up stories of stalking folks in a grocery store who use EBT cards are the ones I am sick of hearing.

Man people just lie. We've seen citizens lie about police and we've also seen police lie about citizens. To argue that one side is infallible is a dangerous sentiment

Seriously, I agree with the op. And to catch these liars, the police should wear cameras to prove they're being lied about.

Meh, this is a good reason to have body cams for all. The police save face for doing the right thing on cam, and if someone is wronged it comes out. Win win.

I know what you're getting at, but the biggest purjurers in the legal system are the cops, it's real easy to tell when they are lying too, it's when their lips begin moving
