He can't even throw to first base!!

We only have 3 more innings of this garbage hopefully

Seems to me he should never throw his fastball in the strike zone. He should throw the curve like 70% of the time.

When mchugh comes back, fiers is done

That's still a long ways away

Basically the only option we've got to replace him is Peacock. He might be a very slight improvement but he's not very good as a starter either. Our AAA rotation is a wreck. Maybe tFist can come back. He had a solid first half before completely imploding last year.

I read today that McHugh was going to start playing catch this week, and will probably travel w/ team to Anaheim. I'd say he's 4-6 weeks out

Fiers has given up 10 homers already on the season. I just looked back and counted the last 7 have been solo homers. I'm guessing some or all of the other 3 were solos as well. Maybe he just needs to put someone on base. Serms he pitches better from the stretch, at least homerun wise.
Also, we did lose a game that he started against Cleveland. That's the one devenski gave up the 2-run homerun to lindor late.

So maybe take some pitches from this guy?

The offense is so impatient early on. We won't wake up until the 6th

Should have expected this. Emergency start for a bullpen guy who hasn't started a game in 3 years. So of course he goes 6 up 6 down with a 7 pitch inning.
The Rangers are playing bullpen roulette tonight and I'm hoping we can overcome Fiers and actually win.

You know, if fiers could stop giving up the long ball he'd be a decent pitcher. Too bad that's all he does.

The other option is to move devenski (which I dont want to do) or Feliz (which may be solid) back into a starting role that they had all the way through the minors.
Feliz isnt getting hardly any work in his current role.

I appreciate the aggressiveness to a certain extent. But this guy doesn't have good enough stuff to be swinging and betting Fastball every time

Good job by Fiers to get out of that.
